Michael Shoup is a long-time Pierre resident with a head for business and a passion for scuba diving. So when he had the opportunity to combine business with pleasure, he dove in. In 2021, he acquired the only dive shop in Central South Dakota. The Missouri River offers fantastic opportunities for spearfishing. We stock a wide selection of band-powered and pneumatic spearguns by Salvimar, a leader in the design and construction of spearfishing equipment for over 40 years.
Wreck Dive - There are 4 boats that are in this are that have been sunk by the local dive shop as artificial reef and training areas. They have markers attached to them during the summer months.
This site offers a ledge that drops off into the original old river bottom provides excellent spear fishing along with normally clear water. Dive site is also next to a marina with a resturaunt.
This site is a long point that offers areas of large boulders. There is abundant fish in the area and its sandy bottom helps keep the water clean on calm days.
This dive site sits on a long gravel point with a deep bowl located on the inside edge of the point. The location offers a protected are to anchor boats and a large number of game fish in the area.
Diving the Face of Oahe Dam is easily accessed from shore on either the est or east side public access or from a boat. There are two boat ramps in the area, one located at west shore and one located at Corp Bay.
