JMR Quarry (AKA Blanch Quarry) is a great place to dive. You will need to join the “PDRA“ or come as a guest of a PDRA member. The Quarry is open 24/7/365 if you have a key. Make sure to bring a dive buddy, as there is no solo diving allowed.

★★★★☆ Lake Norman Rock Quarry

This is a PDRA Quarry. It is membership owned and its deepest point the depth is around 96 ft. Surface temps range from 82 F in the summer to 40 F in the winter.

Gray Quarry is a 501-c3 non-profit organization that seeks to promote the sport of scuba diving by providing a safe family-friendly fun environment for recreational scuba diving and training. All money from dive entry fees goes to maintaining the quarry and making dive site improvements.

KP Hole is a Florida County park open to divers and snorkelers to explore the spring-fed Rainbow River. This is a spring-fed dive so water temps will be 72 degrees year-round and the water will be very clear. This site has great amenities like concessions for food, showers, and restrooms. Admission is $15.00.

Devil’s Den is a fresh water spring with the temperature being 72 degrees Fahrenheit all year long. Here you will find ancient rock formations with stalactites, fossil beds, and much more. With swim throughs and platforms it’s a great place to practice buoyancy and skills.

American Quarry is the flagship quarry for the PDRA. (Piedmont Diving Rescue Association). The Quarry is 65’ deep at the pit with many objects to dive on.

Dive the largest clear water cavern in the heart of freshwater spring country in Williston, Florida. The Blue Grotto lets you dive down to a depth of 100 feet in crystal clear water with a consistent temp of 72 degrees F all year round! A popular training dive site.

★★★★★ Half Moon Beach (Quarry)Not Open to Public

Private quarry NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC in Mitchell, IN. Maximum depth of 55 feet, shore entry, platforms, lines, statues, and sunken boats/objects for training participants to enjoy. This quarry used to be a public beach in the 1960s, and steadily became more exclusive as ownership changed hands.

Pennyroyal started with a single attraction back in 1994. Our 1941 Dodge firetruck has been a staple attraction for nearly 25 years. Over the years, several items have been acquired for dive sites. Some of the larger sites such as the Yacht wreck, Motorhome, Scuba Bus are just to name a few.

The Papoose is a 412-foot tanker that was torpedoed by the U-124 on March 18, 1942. The ship is largely intact and rests upside down in 125 feet of water.

Launched in 1941 the U-352 was a German submarine operating during World War II. She was sank on 9 May 1942 by depth charges from the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Icarus, south of Morehead City, North Carolina, The wreck lies in about 35 meters of water, and sits at a 45-degree list to starboard.
