The old customs bridge in Rheinau offers a beautiful dive site suitable for beginners with very good visibility. The wooden bridge gives it a very picturesque location and also offers great photo opportunities for underwater photographers. large boulders characterize this underwater landscape with diving depths of up to 10m. Encounters with large catfish, pike and eels are very common here and whole schools of fish can often be seen.

The "Jura" is probably the most famous wreck on Lake Constance. The paddle steamer, which was used as a cargo crane, transported all kinds of goods as well as passengers across the lake. It sank in February 1864 in the fog after a collision with the "Stadt Zürich" and was only rediscovered by chance in 1953. The wreck stands upright on the bottom at a depth of 38 meters and has well-preserved carvings, especially on the bow.

The many nearby mountain lakes offer ideal conditions for applying the concepts covered in this course. Many people don’t realize that even Lake Constance, at 395 meters above sea level, is considered a mountain lake. Most algorithms were developed for dives up to 300 meters. Therefore, the effects of changing ambient pressure at higher altitudes must be taken into account with regard to no-decompression limits and decompression times. This exciting and important course can be easily combined with our day trips.
