Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh SS Thistlegorm (Wreck) (★4.7) This is one of the most famous wrecks in the world. This site is suitable only for advanced divers and EAN is highly recommended. on a trip there you do at least 2 dives, inside and outside around. The bridge rises up to 17 m. Jessica F. (#2893219) Abu Dabab II (★4.3) Reef and coral garden in front of Abu Dabbab Bay. Beautiful cave with bright light inside. Small and old wreck beautifully covered with soft corals. Approachable by zodiac. The Divers Universe, Quseir Flamenco Beach Resort (★4.2) Entrance from the jetty, a reef that walls down to about 40 metres and more and then descends further. Although perhaps the actual coral formations, given the nature of the reef, are not very present below about 18 metres, the site is excellent for fantastic sightings in the blue. Norbert S. (#2056803) Marsa Nakari House Reef South (★4.2) Very nice calm bay that is suitable for entry level and experienced divers. The bay guarantees a protected dive from the rough sea. Starting with a sloping sandy bottom, a dive to the north and the south sides can be conducted. Yoeri D. (#3526102) Small Giftun / Police Station (★4.4) One of the famous dive sites in Hurghada is Small Giftun Drift, also known as the Polics Station. It offers a great wall drift dive finishing with a coral garden plateau and stunning coral reef with lots of marine life of varying types. ORCA DIVE CLUB SOMA BAY, Soma Bay Gamul Kebir (★4.3) Short driving time of approx. 25 minutes and can be approached even in strong winds. Shallow reef (max 16m) with great lighting conditions. Apart from the channel, there is little to no current. Aqualung The Breakers House Reef South, Soma Bay (★4.4) Housereef, directly in front of the dive center, very easy to reach with shuttle and great helpful staff. The entrance is from the sandy shore. Amazingly colorful coral gardens and rich in marine life are found here. Mares Middle Reef Safaga (★4.4) Approx. 90-minute boat ride but worth the trip. From 5 to over 40m deep everything available to see. This is a nice dive site for one way drift dives. There are many ways to dive the site so there is something for everyone here. Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef, and Satellite Reef make up the 3 pinnacles. On Yolanda Reef you can find toilets and a mast laying around from the sunken Yolanda wreck. Jens L. (#2147483) Maheleg (★4.4) Dive Site: Quiet bay with lots of corals and a wall. Entry over the reef top. Max depth: 30 metersTravel time: Approximately 35 minutes by minibus north. Mares Umm El Ros/Marsa Mubarak (★4.3) Umm El Ros is one of the most well known dive sites in the port Ghalib area and only a 15 minute ride away from the marina. A natural bay formation keeps this site protected. A beautiful dive can be conducted from 1m depth through a sandy bottom to the northern reef or to the southern pinnacles. Aqualung Three Corners Equinox House Reef (★4.2) Large, shallow bay with a seagrass meadow. You have the option of diving along the reef, walking through the seagrass meadow, or even both.Easy entry from the beach.Beautiful coral blocks and lettuce corals. Aqualung Deep Sponge - 2 Mile Reef (★4.1) An advanced dive site about 500m to the seaward side of Two Mile Reef. Deep Sponge is named for its huge vase-like sponges. The reef is rather flat sloping down towards the seaward side. At 27m is falls down to 30m with a slight wall on the seaward side. Mares Bikini (★4.3) This dive site is only accessible by boat. The bikini dive site has an average depth of 18m and a maximum of 22m and is known as a photographer’s playground. This area of the reef always delivers a surprise of some sort such as nudibranchs, pipefish, paper fish, or some other beauty. Mares Waynes World (★4.2) This dive site has an average depth of 14m and a maximum depth of 16m and is only accessible by boat. Wayne’s World was named after a local skipper, Wayne Schick, who now runs a restaurant in Sodwana Bay. Juergen F. (#3034408) Sha’ab Claudio (★4.5) Claudio Reef is the most high light Reef in Fury Shoals, it contains of 2 small reefs and the south reef has 2 fantastic large caves. The caves are not completely covered, from above there are holes and light passes in. The caves are in shallow water. Aqualung Abu Talha (★4.7) 15min drive north. Shallowly sloping coral garden with pinnacles, which, when dived north, turns into a sandy slope with table corals. In the shallow area especially beautiful due to massive hard coral blocks.Entrance over the reef top, therefore only diveable at high tide and little wind. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Channel Rock (★4.2) Located to the east of Praslin island, halfway to La Digue, Approximately 15-25 mins boat ride depending on the weather conditions. It is a submerged granite reef known as channel rock. The average depth ranges between 10-25metres. At low tide the pinnacle of the tallest boulder just breaks the surface. Aqualung Lost Anchor (Anchora, White Reef) (★4.3) When the current goes out of Santa Maria Bay, this is a great way to experience the Lost Anchor and Farol dive sites as a drift dive. On 3 depth levels you can experience lots of underwater creatures. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). Aqualung Baie Ternay Marine Park (★4.1) 20 min from Beau Vallon Beach and 18min from Bel Ombre Marina. Anchoring on the sand in the area allowed and safe. Marine Park is a beautiful protected reef at a maximum depth of 20m. Sometimes light/strong current. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mnemba Sandbanks (★4.3) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, decreases very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. Aqualung Turtle Reef (★4.4) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, descends very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Marianne (★4.5) This site is beautiful with granite islands and depths from 12 to 25 meters. This is usually a drift dive with lots of black and white tip sharks, and many fun passages. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Red Point (★4.1) Red point is situated at the southernmost tip of Curieuse island within the curieuse marine park. it is approximately a 10mins boat ride from the dive centre depending on the weather conditions. The dive site consists of big gigantic boulders submerged underwater and also some can be seen out of the water. 10-20m Scubapro, Stephen Frink Simons Caves and Overhangs (★4.1) This dive site has an average depth of 10 meters and a maximum depth of 16 meters. The dive site is accessible by a short boat ride. It is shoreward facing and offers fascinating pinnacles and deep swim-throughs. Mares, Janez Kranjc Excalibur (★4.4) The Excalibur or Susana was a dive boat that sank in 1996 following an electrical fire. It now lies at a floor depth of just over 20m making it suitable for OW divers Eduardo M. (#3068167) Ras Abu Soma (★4.4) The Somabay headland forms the northern end of Safaga Bay. The “Ras“ (head), is a steep wall that ends in the south on a 25m deep plateau, main current direction is coming from the north. On the plateau you can find ancient table corals up to 4m in size, and a steep wall. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Tanikely sud (★4.3) The Tanikely park is very famous, beautiful dive site, full of fish, very beautiful corals, in good health, moreover easy diving, not deep, for all levels. ORCA DIVE CLUB Paradisio, El Gouna Dolphin House (★4.4) Dolphin House (Gota Shaab el Erg) lies to the west of the main reef, Shaab El Erg. Here the reef forms a channel into the open sea where the dolphins often like to swim in and out. Be aware, the channel can cause a moderate current. Mares, Janez Kranjc Coral Gardens (★4.3) The reef consists of thousands of spectacular coloured hard and soft corals. Hard corals provide shelter to numerous juvenile fish. This is a relaxing, scenic dive for all levels of divers. Mares, Janez Kranjc Antons (★4.4) Antons is one of the best dives in Sodwana. Anton’s Reef is so-named after one of the first dive operators in Sodwana Bay (1980’s) – Anton Buchel. On this reef you will find various gullies, a long swim-through, and boulders surrounded by sand patches. Numerous varieties of coral such as fleshy soft coral, table, and spiral coral, as well as colourful sponges cover the area. This dive site is only accessible via boat with an average depth of 12m and a maximum depth of 16m. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Marsa Baryka (★4.4) This dive site sits in the bay of Mersa Bareika and is scattered with colorful coral heads that stretch all around the area and flourish with high and low tide, giving a diverse array of marine life. Morecambe Area Divers Ltd, LA3 3PB Morecambe Ras Ghamila (★4.5) In Ras Ghamila you can find big table corals, gorgonians, and pinnacles all over a sandy bottom. This dive site is suitable for any level of diver and snorkelers. Mares HauntedWall / Ras Misikitini (★4.2) Small walls from 5 metres to 18 metres where you can find hard and soft coral. This site is unique for the small wall and offers great visibility and nice temperatures. Aqualung Hunga (★4.1) This dive site is in the middle of the ocean and is a drift dive. You will find some pinnacle with sponges and hard coral. It is a tidal dive so make sure you make this dive when it is low tide. Sundivers Ltd, 90504 Flic en Flac Bambous (★4.1) Colin Bambous: due to its depth of approx. 34m rather for advanced divers with Deep Diver Specialty. Fascinating steep walls and rock formations await us at this dive site. Mares Abu Dabab Garden (★4.3) Fringing reef with beautiful corrals and lots of colorful fish. Reef is in very good condition. Depth varies from 5 to 30m. Specialty of Abu Dabbab Garden is the area around the jetty where a small and a big lagoon, canyons and caves can be found. Peter S. (#417559) Daedalus Reef (★4.3) Deadalus Reef can only be reached by Liveaboard boats and is one of the top dive sites on most diver’s wish list. A stand alone 400m long reef approx. 80km away from Marsa Alam, this spectacular reef is difficult to miss as it even has its own lighthouse. Mares Port Ghalib Sand-Oasis (★4.1) Entry and exit is via the jetty. From here there are two options. Either head north or head south to the Palace. The dive to Palace is a one-way dive. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Coral Garden (★4.3) Coral Garden is situated 5-10 minutes away by boat from Praslin. A reef type of dive surrounded by soft and hard corals. Depth is around 10-15 meters. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Jackfish Alley (★4.5) A comparatively shallow site that is good for a second or third dive, Jackfish Alley has two enormous caves filled with shoaling glassfish. Depth: 6m to 20m. Rating: intermediate. Access: boat. Centrum Nurkowe Aqarium, 78-100 Kołobrzeg Sha’ab Sheer East (★4.4) This rest area is popular and frequented by safari boats due to its large, quiet and safe dock. The reef begins only a few inches below the surface and at low tide, the tips of the coral heads break through the surface. Marcus M. (#2724513) Marsa Assalaya (★4.3) Well protected bay with entry from the beach, both sides of the bay with a beautiful and colorful reef. In the middle of the bay, there is a big area with seagrass. Mares Four Buoy, Sodwana Bay (★4.2) Although popular for students and beginner divers, this site’s ledges and swim-throughs offer something for everyone. The topography is varied with large sand gullies to investigate and shoals of sweepers can be found hiding under the rocky outcrops and small caves. This dive site is only accessible via boat. The average depth is 9m with a maximum depth of 12 m - perfect for all beginner divers. Mares Small Wall, Mnenba Island (★4.4) Small Wall is a huge coral reef that starts at the surface and reaches to 50 meters of depth. It is a great spot for all levels of divers, from OWD to the XR addict! Around 30 meters there is a second drop off where colorful corals and gorgonians create a very captivating environment. The Divers Universe, 00000 Quseir Sharm Taahtany (★4.2) Interesting coral-rich wall, easily accessible from Mangroovy Bay by boat (opposite the Oriental Coast area) , perfect for all levels of experience. ←1234→
