The Bangka-Belitung Islands offer excellent diving conditions throughout the year. During the dry season, which spans from April to October, divers can enjoy optimal conditions with clear turquoise waters and favorable weather. Water temperatures typically range from 27°C–30°C/81°F–86°F, making it comfortable for diving without needing extensive thermal protection.
Even though diving is possible all year, the rainy season, from November to March, may slightly affect visibility due to increased rainfall. However, the water remains warm, allowing diving to continue. Wind and currents are generally mild but can be more pronounced during the rainy season, which divers should consider when planning their trips. Overall, the Bangka-Belitung Islands provide a rewarding diving experience all year round, with the dry season being particularly appealing for clearer visibility.
