The ecosystem teems with marine life, including graceful eagle rays, curious sea turtles, and the elusive Nassau grouper. With a dozen dive sites within Bloody Bay Marine Park, divers can explore diverse environments ranging from coral gardens to deep walls. Dive centers and resorts in Blossom Village provide excellent access, while liveaboards offer the opportunity to explore all three Cayman Islands. For the best experience, plan your visit between November and May to enjoy warm, predictable weather and avoid hurricane season.

Diving at Bloody Bay Wall
Bloody Bay Marine Park is a string of more than a dozen dive sites that run along the edge of Little Cayman’s north wall. Three Fathom Wall is the first dive site in the string, and like many of the other incredible sites, the wall in this area has several canyons, crevices, and swim-throughs for divers to explore. Randy’s Gazebo allows divers to squeeze through a chimney-shaped swim-through while at Lea Lea’s Lookout, divers can discover canyons marked by pinnacles and nutrient-rich currents attracting pelagics to the area.
All the sites can be visited by inland dive operators yet, often the first to reach the site are liveaboards, where diving becomes a more intimate experience. If you plan to become a certified deep diver, dive courses at Bloody Bay Wall’s deep sites are ideal.
The best Months to dive at Bloody Bay Wall
Bloody Bay Wall diving is best from July to September when the seas are calm and the visibility at its peak. However, from June through to November there is a chance that there will be a hurricane in the Cayman Islands, so it’s important to check before you head off on your trip. October through to January, the wind is likely to be too strong to comfortably dive at Bloody Bay Wall, yet, Cayman Islands weather is often unpredictable and even in the windy months the sea can be flat!
