Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver course is an introductory course to the world of scuba diving and is designed for beginners who have no previous diving experience. During the course, participants learn the basics of diving, such as proper equipment, diving techniques, diving physics and physiology, and safety regulations. The course includes theoretical lessons that teach the basics of diving, as well as practical exercises in the water to apply what they have learned. Participants also complete open water dives to improve their skills and confidence under the supervision of their experienced instructors. Upon successful completion of the SSI Open Water Diver course, participants receive a certificate that entitles them to dive to a depth of 18 meters worldwide. Manta & Ray Ecology

The Manta & Ray Ecology course provides in-depth knowledge about the fascinating world of manta rays and rays. These elegant sea creatures play a crucial role in marine ecosystems and are at the same time highly endangered by human influences. Flic en Flac, located on the west coast of Mauritius, is renowned for its diverse dive sites. Top Wildlife Sightings in Flic en Flac

The best Months to Dive in Flic en Flac

Flic en Flac offers diving opportunities throughout the year, making it a favored destination for divers. Water temperatures range from 24°C–28°C/75°F–82°F, providing comfortable conditions for diving. Visibility is generally excellent, often exceeding 30 meters/98 feet, allowing divers to fully appreciate the vibrant marine life and coral formations.

Though diving is possible year-round, the best conditions are typically from November to April when the seas are calmer. During the winter months of June to September, stronger currents and winds can affect diving, although these conditions do not significantly hinder activities. Divers should always check local conditions before planning dives during these less favorable periods.

L`Eveillé: proposes a very pleasant diving experience alongside a drop-off including a small arch at 25m. L’Eveillé can be combined with another diving site called “Tokata,” an anemone garden situated in the direct vicinity.
