The main attractive feature of the underwater world here are the impressive rocky formations which come in many forms. Whether it be rocky reefs which also include some large boulders and pinnacles. These rocky formations also come in the shape of thrilling caves and different kinds of caverns and tunnels. Some of the more unique dive sites here are Pumacak Reef which is a hot spring dive site and there are also many historical artefacts to be admired here. Aside from rocky formation, there are also many areas of seagrass here. The large majority of the dive sites are reached by boat.

The combination of the different underwater topography attracts a variety of different marine species that make this their home. The waters are filled with large schools of fish such as Turkish Wrasse and many other reef fish, and on lucky days divers will see a large school of Barracuda swim by. The rocky reefs have many cracks and crevices which hide different species of Octopus Sea Starts, Sea Slugs and Sea Cucumbers. Some of the larger species spotted here include large Groupers and on the best day divers can spot a Monk Seal.

Diving in Kusadasi is possible year round but there are some differences in temperatures above, and below the water. The climate of Kusadasi ranges between 33°C in the midst of the summer and drops down to 14°C in the winter months between December and February. These months are also the rainiest months, however, diving is still possible. Water temperatures range between 16°C and 26°C. The visibility in this region is above average with an average of 20 metres and much more on the best days.
