What is Nitrox? Nitrox is a mix of Nitrogen and Oxygen gas with a higher concentration of Oxygen than standard air. Contrary to popular belief nitrox does not let you dive deeper. It is designed to let the diver stay longer at depth, maintain shorter surface intervals, and create a larger safety factor than standard air. Who should take this course? All SCUBA divers benefit from diving with Nitrox, not just advanced divers. If you are planning on multiple dives in one day or diving multiple days, Nitrox will be a benefit.
