Double Arches is a spectacular dive site in the north of Gozo. Usually a boat dive, it can also be reached from shore. Discover two arches on top of each other between 20 and 36m. Best for more advanced divers.

Ras il-Hobz (★4.2)

Ras il Hobz or the “Middlefinger“ is one of most interesting dives in the south. It is a huge pinnacle going from 9 up to 40+ m. You can dive the pinnacle either from a wall or starting from a shallow bay. The dive site offers breathtaking views but one needs a good buoyancy skills to dive in the blue.

Coral Cave (★4.3)

Coral Cave is a huge cave on the drop off below Coral Gardens (next to the Blue Hole) between 20 and 30m with lots of beautiful sponges on its walls. It’s suitable for more experienced divers.

Fortizza Tunnels (★4.5)

A stunning reef full of canyons, swim troughs, tunnel and cave with a maximum depth of 20 meters. Can be done entirely by expert divers since is a long reef. Current can be challenging as well. Be aware of boats!

HMS Maori (★4.4)

HMS Maori is one of the many World War II wrecks around Maltese islands, but unlike most of them that are deep boat dives, Maori is a shallow dive that can be done from the shore. Maori lies on a sandy bottom with a maximum depth of 16 metres. The wreck is about 42 metres in length and quite broken.

Carolita X127 (★4.1)

The wreck lies from 6m down to 22m on a steep slope, the bottom is mainly silt and mud. there is quite a bit of boat traffic in the area so a DSMB is highly recommended when diving on this site. If you pass the wreck and go to around 21m and keep swimming for about 8-10min you can find the remanence of a old car

FRENCH TOUCH DIVING, SPB 1283 SAN PAWL IL-BAHAR

Rozi (★4.6)

Rozi was a tugboat that operated in Grand Harbour of Valletta. Was scuttled in 1992 as an underwater tourist attraction for submarine tours, and also became an artificial reef for scuba divers. It’s around 35m long and lies upright on a sandy bottom, with her mast starting at 20m and most of the wreck at 30-35m.

P29 (★4.6)

P29 was a former patrol boat for the Maritime Squadron of the Armed Forces of Malta. She was intentionally scuttled in 2007 to serve as scuba diving attraction and artificial reef. Is 52m long, and sits upright at a depth of 34m with the highest part at only 12m depth from the surface.

Madonna or Sugar Loaf (★4.5)

Halfway along the reef wall there is a statue of our lady, also known as Madonna, in a small cave at a depth of 18 metres. The Madonna statue was placed in this cavern by a local dive club Amphibians Diving Club in November 1987. For the 20th anniversary in 2007 the dive club added a commemorative plaque.

Cathedral Cave (★4.5)

The water inside Cathedral Cave gives off a magical blue color. Surfacing while inside the cave is a must! This site is full of fun boulders, swim-throughs, domes to explore. Depth ranges from 15-25 meters and is great for all levels of divers.

Tug 2, Sliema (★4.4)

Tug2 was a tugboat working in Grand Harbour of Valletta. Was scuttled in June 2013 to form an artificial reef and an attraction for divers. She was originally sunk on the sand parallel to the reef some 20m distance, but a storm moved her in October 2016, and the wreck is now crashed into the reef, bow first.

The wreck is often dived with 2 dives because of the depth (38 m). View at the bow and funnel impressive. Memorial plaque of the deceased dock workers in the middle of the wreck

Is a reef dive site in Cirkewwa. Paradise Bay reef offers a great variety of underwater scenery for divers - lots of interesting rock formations, large boulder fields, sandy bottoms and sea grass along with drop-offs of various heights, swim-throughs and a natural rock arch known as Left Arch or White.

Crocodile Rock (★4.5)

Crocodile Rock is a boat dive site located in Dwejra south from the Blue Hole. It combines a wall dive, going down to 30+ metres with a shallow, 7m deep plateau with a nice reef. This dive site is suitable even for less experienced divers.

Ghar Lapsi (★4.4)

Ghar Lapsi is best known by scuba divers for the more than 40 meters long, shallow and well-lit cave system. Caves have many outlets and cracks in the ceiling, that allow a lot of light to enter, making it abeautiful dive, especially during the day with beams of sunlight dancing in the cave on the corals.

Blue Hole (★4.5)

Blue Hole is the most famous dive site in Gozo with spectacular underwater landscapes and amazing light effects. Look for the remains of the Azure Window (“Azure Alps“), the cavern, and a fun chimney and swim-throughs.

A rock needle that rises from the depths to about 16 m below the surface. Beautiful wall and an impressive view over the wall into the blue water.

Cirkewwa Reef (★4.5)

Is a shallow diving area in Cirkewwa. This dive site is ideal for beginners as there is a rocky plateau of only 6 meters deep, which is often used to practice skills. It’s also a good warm up to dive to the start a diving holiday in Malta.

P31 Wreck (★4.5)

The P31 Wreck is another dive site visited during the Full Day Boat Trip to Comino. It is a small patrol boat wreck between 11m and 20m, making it a perfect dive site for those beginning their adventure with wrecks. It is safe to penetrate as all dangerous parts have been removed.

Ta Cenc (★4.1)

Ta Cenc is a small inlet neighboring with Mgarr ix-Xini Bay in the south. It is mostly a wall dive leading to some deeper boulders and a small cavern at the end. The shallow inlet is full of natural light and beautiful colors. The depths vary between 6m and 25m. Perfect for all levels.

Inland Sea (★4.4)

Inland Sea is another dive site in Dwejra, close to the famous Blue Hole. It is an 80m long open tunnel leading to an open sea. It offers stunning light inside and outisde the tunnel as well as the drop off full of fish. Perfect more more experienced divers. Depths between 5 and 30+ metres.

Anchor Reef is another fantastic dive site in the north next to Xwejni Bay. It combines wall diving with shallow rock formations full of holes and overhangs to dive through. It is a perfect site for both beginners and more experienced divers as it offers depths between 5m to over 30m.

MV Karwela (Wreck) (★4.5)

MV Karwela is the most popular wreck here on Gozo. It is an old German-built ferry used as excursion boat around Malta scuttled in 2006 for divers. It is easy and safe to enter and penetrate the wreck. It has fantastic staircase, 2 decks to explore with a dark engine room underneath. For experienced divers. 32-40m

Lantern Point (Ras I-Irqieqa) (★4.2)

Lantern Point is another boat dive south west of Comino Island. It offers a mix of swim throughs, boulders and drop offs. The main attraction is the chimney between 5 and 16m followed by boulders and swim throughs. It’s a dive site suitable for Advanced divers or higher.

Xatt L'Ahmar Reef (★4.2)

Xatt l’Ahmar reef is a shallow reef near the drop off leading to the wrecks. It is a wall dive with the depth between 4 to 30 m. In the shallows you can find lots of colourful fish as well as seahorses. Going down the wall you’ll get to the huge boulders hiding slipper lobsters and giant scorpionfish. All levels.

Reqqa Point (★4.3)

Reqqa point is a fantastic dive site for more experienced divers with a maximum depth of 40 m. It offers a wall dive leading to a rocky shelf at 18 m full of jackfish, moray eels, damsels and many schools of small sardines around. At the bottom of the wall you may encounter bigger groupers and dentex fish.

Wied il-Ghasri (★4.4)

Ghasri is a beautiful bay that leads to the famous Cathedral Cave. You can dive it from land or by boat. A shallow bay with lots of natural light and a maximum depth of 18m on the outside. You can just explore the bay or go to the cave from there. It is a challenging dive site as it has 100 steps down into the valley.

Wied il-Mielah (★4.3)

Wied il Mielah is a fantastic boat dive to the hidden northern Azure Window. There are 3 caverns with fantastic light, the famous Swiss Cheese swim through and a labirynth between the boulders. All between 9 and 25 m making it a perfect dive for even less experienced divers.

MV Cominoland (Wreck) (★4.5)

Cominoland is one of three wrecks scuttled in Xatt l’Ahmar in the south of Gozo. It is an old excursion boat to Comino that was scuttled in August 2006 together with nearby Karwela wreck. Cominoland is 35m long and lies at 40m. It has two decks and offers lot to explore. For advanced divers.

Azure Boulders is the most famous dive site in Gozo, spectacular underwater landscape and light effects. What to look for: the remains of the Azure Window (“Azure Alps“), cavern, chimney and, swim-throughs. This site is 5-30 metres. This site is great for all levels.

Billinghurst Cave (★4.4)

Billinghurst Cave is a huge cave on the north coast aprox. 70m into the rock with a small air chamber and big boulders at the end. It is a perfect dive site for experienced divers looking for some thrills. The maximum depth of this dive is around 23m.

Hephaestus is an oil tanker that was scuttled to Xatt l-Ahmar on 29.8.2022 as an underwater attraction. This is a a shore/boat dive for experienced divers. Max depht 42m.

Right Arch (★4.5)

Cirkewa Arch is a beautiful natural underwater archway. The Arch is actually a cavern where the roof has collapsed long ago, leaving the Arch as a result. The Arch is at 12m below the surface and 8m above the seabed. On the way to the Arch there are also some nice caves/tunnels.

Coral Gardens - Sliema (★4.1)

Shallow reef with valleys, canyons and gullies with some interesting rock formations and swimthrough tunnels for divers to explore, and also lots of small marine life. Coral Gardens reef is a great place for underwater photography.

The left arch is a smaller arch then the Cirkewwa arch, it sits at about 11 meters, and goes almost to surface level.the dive to the arch is a wall dive with a few swim troughs along the way.
