(#108569) Andrea II (22) (★4.3) An easily accessible shore dive location with areas of shade and parking not far from the entry point. This is a large dive site so it never feels crowded here. Aqualung Andrea I (23) (★4.3) Just down the beach from its sister site, the Andrea II, the Andrea I is most well known for its beautiful coral formations from the plate coral that call this reef home. Easily accessible from shore, this is a shallow reef dive and great for snorkeling and beginning divers. Mares, Janez Kranjc Chez Hines (39) (★4.3) This spot starts with a shallow reef, nice for beginning divers or snorkeling. For the more experienced divers, at about 37 meters the 2nd reef starts. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire Punt Vierkant (41) (★4.2) Punt square is the beginning of the south coast of Bonaire. At this spot also starts the beautiful double reef. Dive over the first reef, to a depth of 25 meters to the next. Scuba School Bonaire, 0000CN Kralendijk Bonaire White Slave (★4.0) Named for the old slave huts located here. Easiest entry is from near the second hut. Cross a long sand bank to reach the coral area. Look for eagle rays in the shallows. Mares Ebo’s Reef (B) (★4.3) The reef is located on Klein Bonaire, so visit it by boat. It is named after Ebo Domacassé, (one of) the first certified diving instructor of Bonaire. Scubapro Joanne’s Sunchi (J) (★4.4) Joanne’s Sunchi (or Joanne’s Kiss) is a beautiful dive site with a deep dropoff. Along this dropoff where a lot of coral grows, there are sand ridges that extend to depth. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Playa Daaibooi (★4.7) A great shore dive accessible from a quiet, calm beach out of the way of most of the tourist action. There are plenty of parking spaces, lots of shade, and benches to set up your gear on. Although a bit of a swim, the reef is healthy a beautiful. Scubaçao, Willemstad Playa Jeremi (★4.4) Playa Jeremi is a small beach sandwiched between two mighty cliffs. The cove is a sandy plateau which slowly changes into a beautiful coral garden. Divers should swim out until just before the blue line. The reef is a slope that you can follow in a northerly or southerly direction. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Watamula (★4.6) The best dive site on the west side of Curaçao, only accessible by boat. At both sides of the gorgeous hard coral reef are two sandy patches filled with large soft corals. The massive hard coral reef starts at 5m / 15ft and gently drops to 20 m/70 ft where it becomes a sandy bottom. Mares, Janez Kranjc Veradero Beach (★4.4) The area of Varadero, on the northern coast of Cuba just east of Havana, boasts great reef diving, wall, wrecks, night, cave, and deep dives. There are also spectacular snorkel spots as well. Mares, Janez Kranjc Faro de Bucerias (★4.7) If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all this is it. A quiet little town with great sub-tropical pacific diving. The beach is beautiful and the sunken ship just offshore is the main attraction for divers. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Rocher du Diamant (★4.7) Le Rocher : The mythical dive in Martinique !!! Double dive to enjoy the enchanting setting of the rock! The dive is done at the foot of the rock, the water is clear and blue, the walls are covered with all the colors of the rainbow !!! Scubapro Airplanes (Wreck) (★4.3) A very unique dive, Airplanes is accessible by either boat or shore and boasts not one, but two decommissioned airplanes sunk as artificial reefs. The Convair 240 is a 40 seater aircraft 74 ft long sitting in 80 feet of water (it moved deeper than it originally was after a hurricane). Mares Davis Reef (★4.3) Davis Reef is one of the nicest reefs in this area. It’s known for an abundance of large green moray eels and a multitude of tropical fish. A great spot for night dives, new divers, and snorkelers. Also of special interest is the Buddha statue that was placed here years ago. Sarah S. (#4020708) Molasses Reef (★4.3) Molasses Reef is one of the most popular dive areas in the Florida Keys. There are 30-33 specific dive sites located on Molasses Reef alone. The reef is shallow and very clear with lots of life, making it a great area for divers of all levels and snorkelers as well. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic La Baleine (★4.5) The visibility of its crystal clear waters, the richness of its biodiversity and its diversified relief make the Cape of the Whale one of the most beautiful sites of the South Caribbean. A nice drop off slides down to 25m. Cape of the Whale is favourable for drifting, starting in particular from Three Airs Cove. Kay H. (#2592226) Punta Perdiz (★4.4) Located in the area called “Bay of Pigs,” Punta Perdiz is a very popular dive destination due to its conditions: easy diving and little current. This dive site is suitable both for beginners and expert divers. More advanced divers can slip over the wall that is accessible during the dive. Aqua Marine, 00802 St Thomas Navy Barges (★4.4) Navy Barges is a site containing two shallow barges that are a haven for marine life. They were used as accommodation barges during the 2nd World War. After the war, they were used as a Navy training area & finally sunk in 1961. The swim throughs are perfect for avid photographers! Aqualung Paradise Reef (★4.5) This beautiful shallow reef site has lots of hard and soft corals, schooling horse eye jacks, turtles or a sleeping nurse shark nestled among the reef. Aqua Marine, 00802 St Thomas Cow Rock (★4.5) Cow rock is one of the most recognized dive sites in St. Thomas. Small caves/swim throughs and beautiful elkhorn corals are the dominant features. It is definitely a favorite! Aqua Marine, 00802 St Thomas Stragglers' Reef (★4.4) Nicely protected on the lee side of Great St James, Stragglers is the perfect option on a rough, stormy day! The dive starts in a small, but very pretty, system of canyons where you can find great photo opportunities. There is also a beautiful reef wall section teeming with life. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Playa Kalki / Alice in Wonderland (★4.4) Playa Kalki with the dive site “Alice in Wonderland“ is the most north-western dive site which is possible from shore. A beautiful reef runs parallel to the beach with large coral formations. The best diving depth is between 5-20m.Parking, restaurant, toilets and diving school are on site. Geovanni G. (#2541306) Desecheo Island (★4.8) You have everything in this dive, from reefs to wrecks but you can only get there by boat. There is shallow diving, wall diving and reef diving. Depths vary from 20 to 200 feet. CARIBBEAN DIVERS - ASOBUCA, 15700 Boca Chica Cabu (★4.3) The dive site “Cabu“ is 10 minutes by boat from Boca Chica and well suited for beginners and advanced divers. Ideal diving depth between 15 and 25 meters. Beautiful corals and rich vegetation. Ylenia F. (#2923314) Astron, wreck (★4.1) This wreck sits in 40-50 feet of water just offshore from Punta Cana and is a true shipwreck. The 300-foot Russian ship sank in 1979 while delivering a huge amount of corn to Cuba. It sits right offshore and thus can be done as a shore dive, with part of the ship still sitting above water. Ben A. (#3536434) North Point - San Pedro (★4.5) North Point is located on the northern tip of San Pedro and is a fantastic dive site for beginners and advanced divers. Due to its location at the tip, the site is exposed to currents at times and offers pelagic species. Mares Coral Gardens - Dominican Republic (★4.2) A great mini wall dive with the wall sitting at 50 feet. The surrounding reef is very healthy and full of differently colored corals and sponges. Dive with Purpose Cozumel, 77675 Cozumel Palancar Bricks (★4.6) The southernmost section of the famous Palancar Reef, Palancar Bricks is suitable for divers of all experience levels due to multiple swim throughs are various depths, multi-level diving, and macro photography. Aqualung Los Morros (★4.5) Although not very deep, averaging around 50 feet, Los Morros is considered an advanced dive due to the cooler water, reduced visibility, and swift current that occur here. This site has patches of reef separated by sand, full of garden eels. Mares, Janez Kranjc Jackson Wall and Reef - Grand Cayman (★4.5) This site consists of a mini wall, coral head formations, sandy boulevard, and main wall riddled with swim-throughs. As super fun dive and perfect for beginners and advanced divers alike. Neil D. (#3039000) Frederiksted Pier (★4.5) One of the top macro dives anywhere! Scattered ruins and columns are coral encrusted and provide habitat for many types of shallow sea life. The pier is 1526ft/465m long so lots to discover with a gradual westerly decline. Perfect for snorkeling & non-certified divers too. Aqua Marine, 00802 St Thomas Buck Island Point (Submarine Alley) (★4.5) Buck island point can be dived both as a stationary dive returning to the boat which would remain at the mooring, or as a drift dive into Shipwreck cove and finishing on a different mooring. The max depth is 80ft and average depth of 65ft. A.C.Divers, 77720 Playa del Carmen Moc Che Deep (★4.4) This is a deep dive between 26m - 28m. Strong current. The diving here is long and with many coral formations. The dive is only for certified divers. A full neoprene wetsuit is recommended for this dive to avoid scratches when exploring the bottom. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Tent Reef Deep (★4.5) This site is a deep patch reef at the end of the Tent Reef system. The small, steep-sided reef is often combined with a visit to the Tent Reef dive site. Aqualung Coco Cay (★4.2) Coco Cay is an island just off Nassau belonging to the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and is a popular stop for cruise-goers to either snorkel or dive. A nice, calm, clear, easy dive. SSI Service Center Southern Caribbean, Willemstad Barbara Beach (★4.1) A great shore dive accessible through the Santa Barbara Resort of boat dive via dive charter. Barbara Beach has nice, healthy coral formations. Watch out for the boat traffic entering and exiting the Spanish Waters Harbour. SCUBA10, 77710 PLAYA DEL CARMEN Los Arcos - Playa del Carmen (★4.3) A place with a lot of current, suitable only for advanced or experienced divers. For this dive site it is ideal to have the NITROX certification to make the most of it. Multiple dives may be required to visit all the corners of this place. Nancy D. (#2249045) Cerebros (★4.3) The coral formations of this site are certainly true to its name (Cerrebros, meaning brains in Spanish). Brains and mountain-style corals decorate your entire dive, and with a quantity and variety of marine ife that you will always want to repeat diving here! BLUE DREAMS DIVING, 23000 BAYAHIBE Dominicus Reef (★4.1) An awesome dive site that’s easily accessible from shore with beautiful coral and marine life to see. Dominicus Reef is part of the same reef that goes from Viva Shallow and continues along the coast all the way to El Peñon and Piscina Natural. Aqualung Long Caye Aquarium (★4.6) This is a great little wall dive with the reef starting in just 20 feet of water (good for snorkelers) but then drops off into hundreds of feet deep. The visibility is great, and there is much to see! Aqualung Boynton Ledges (★4.4) Diving Boynton Ledges is full of dramatic edges dropping from 51 feet on top to 67 feet in the sand. This site runs north/south with many deep undercuts and plentiful marine life. A fun boat dive! Scubapro, Stephen Frink Hale O Honu (★4.6) Hale O Honu is Hawaiian for “House of Turtle” and for good reason. You’ll see lots of turtles here! This is a great, easy boat dive fun for beginners and advanced divers alike. Mares Rainbow Reef (★4.2) In the Somosomo straight, the first day we went to the “Fish Factory” site. A short boat ride from the Taveuni Ocean Sports Nakia Dive Shop, weather dependent will throw you into the most colorful coral dives you e ever seen, along with marine life that calls this space home. Bernhard M. (#404373) Habitat (★4.5) Report to the local diving school at the entrance of Coral Estate, without you are not allowed to dive here. The reef is beautiful, you can enter the water via the pier and after a short swim you are directly on the wall. Mares Sheraton Caverns (★4.6) Don’t forget your camera on this dive! Not only is the underwater scenery spectacular, but chances for whale and dolphin sightings on the boat ride out is also high. Sheraton Caverns is located just off Poipu Beach and is relatively untroubled by harsh ocean swells. Mares, Janez Kranjc Victory Reef (★4.3) Deeper than some of the other coral reefs, Victory Reef has spur and groove formations and a natural “V“ shape which provides different scuba diving adventures. If you swim northeast you will drop off the wall, and if you swim southwest you will have a 50-60 foot dive. Mares Davey Crocker Reef (★4.5) An amazing, shallow reef dive great for snorkelers and newer divers. Davey Crocker Reef has one of the highest populations of fish life in this area. Schools of fish, nurse sharks, eels and turtles. This is a must dive. Aqua Marine, 00802 St Thomas Cartanza Wreck (★4.5) Beginner wreck dive where divers will see a small shipwreck of the Cartanza, which is broken into three pieces. Max depth on the wreck is 41 feet, with option to explore deeper reef extending to 60 feet. Many divers and snorkelers enjoy shipwreck cove as it is protected from wind, and there are many moorings. 12...9→
