The northern side often serves as a starting point when the current is draining from a steep wall over a sandy plateau to a normal slope. Manta rays between the end of September and November DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Fenfushi Giri (★4.5) If you want to see anemones you have to come to this place,, there is a field with hundreds of anemones where we also can always find turtles. The Giri has approx. a diameter of 120m and is easy to dive around. Some nice small overhangs DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Kottefaru Kanmathi (★4.5) A very nice drift dive over several hundred meters along the island of Kottefaru. The top reef is made of hard corals that drop from 4 to 8m, sloping down to 15m, then a wall that drops far more than 30m. On the top reef between June and November the site becomes a cleaning station for mantas. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Irufushi House Reef (★4.2) The reef has a gentle slope that descends to a sandy bottom at a depth of 18 meters. This depth makes it ideal for beginners making their first open water dives, as well as for divers conducting their check dives. Scubapro Coral Garden (★4.1) Located on the east side of Hondaafushi Island. Suitable for all levels of divers. The dive takes place on a sandy plateau, among many coral blocks and the acropora and table coral families, before sloping down to a sandy bottom at around 15-20m. Mares Alidhoo Caves (★4.1) Starting on a beautiful top reef at just 5 meters deep, progressing to a drop off and wall that reaches depths of 30 meters. Along the reef wall there are some large overhangs, where it is possible to see sleeping sting rays or turtles, lion fish, moray eels and lobsters. Mares Maafahi Corner (★4.1) Starting on the shallow top reef at around 5 meters, sloping down to over 20 metres, we explore the reef and in the right conditions, out into the center of the channel to explore a small coral covered thila. Either way, this site offers lots of opportunities to explore many interesting coral and rock formations. Sub Oceanic @ Le Méridien Maldives, Lhaviyani Atoll Fushifaru Thila (★4.6) This pinnacle is located in the northeast channel of Lhaviyani Atoll. You can find a large plateau covered in coral blocks that act as cleaning stations for the manta rays during the southwest monsoon. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Beriyan Bodu Thila (★4.5) BBT is a dive site that you can dive every day and each time you“ii find different conditions and creatures. The reef top starts at 5m, at 8 / 9m it drops down to 30m. There are some small overhangs in the western part of the Thila which are partly overgrown with soft corals. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Kinolhas (★4.3) A simple, mostly calm dive site.Very suitable for the first boat dive since the beginning lighter sandy bottom.Big blocs with schooling fish of different species are here encountered. The reef falls on very slowly from 2m down to about 11m and then aplateau run out at a depth of 20-24m. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Vavathi Kurolhi / Christmas Tree (★4.5) This dive site is one of the best and most precious thilas / pinnacles in Noonu atoll. It gets its name from the fact that the pinnacles of the reef are stacked to resemble a christmas tree. Mares, Janez Kranjc Snow White (★4.1) The reef is gently sloping downwards to a sandy bottom at a depth of 18 meters, which makes it easy for beginners to make their first open water dives and divers conducting their check dive. Mares, Janez Kranjc Dhigu Faru (★4.3) A long reef extends from northwest to southeast, starting at around 6 meters deep and sloping down to 24 meters before transitioning to a sandy bottom. Sun Diving Ptv. Ltd., 2036 Noonu Atoll Saeedh Ge'Hadhiyaa (★4.3) The inside wall of this channel rises up from a depth of 24 meters to an incredible top reef completely covered with hard corals.The overhangs in the wall are filled up with black corals and a number of other animals like the giant winged pearl oyster. Aqualung Orimas Thila (★4.6) Orimas Thila is a deep thila dive site with the top of the thila at approx. 20m and is known as shark point due to the sharks that hang around in this area. If the current is strong you may need to hook into or hold onto the rocks to stay up current with the fish life. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Sola Corner (★4.7) From November / December to the beginning of May one of the best manta spots in the Maldives! Also suitable for beginners! But not only mantas are sighted here. Lots of pelagic delicacies can be discovered with a bit of luck. Can have a stronger current, but easy to dive. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Beriyan Dhekunu Thila (★4.4) Regardless of whether Thila or the nearby main reef BDT is the best Marco place, which does not mean that there are no big fish;) However, there are occasional “funny currents“ which are no problem with a guide who knows his way around! After the small Thila, simply hold the current right / left shoulder and drift DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Maamunagaa Giri (★4.3) Maamunagaa Giri is like an isosceles triangle and can only be approached in good weather. The south side lies on the deep channel between Baa and Raa Atoll. Here, and on the northwest side, you can often see gray reef sharks and a beautiful school of jackfish. Macro life lies in the small overhangs and holes. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Aarah Bodu Thila (★4.4) Smaller thila that is easy to circle around when simple current conditions prevail. The reef top starts at 7m with small blocks. To the east and north, it does not drop so steeply to 25m. In the west and south a little steeper up to 35m. In the south-west are beautiful small. Overhangs. Mares, Janez Kranjc Toshi Caves (★4.4) Kudey Kandu is known for its unique dive site, featuring the Toshi Caves, which can be described as a rounded and expansive corner. Despite the strong currents in the area, this dive offers an easy channel experience. The reef drops steeply from the surface to a depth of 30 meters, and the varied shapes and sizes. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Fainu Corner (★4.0) This is a drift dive suitable for all levels. Beginners drift past the upper overhangs at 10-15m, while the more experienced divers head deeper at 25m to take a look at the overhangs there. The relatively steep reef is fully covered with soft coral when there is a current. Nitrox / Deep specialties recommended. Mares, Janez Kranjc Thakandhoo Corner (★4.8) This dive is located on the south reef of Takandhoo Island. Suitable for all levels of experience. We start in shallow water on the top reef, heading deeper on the slope to some small caves / openings, ending at the corner of the reef around some interesting rock formations, between 18 and 30 metres deep. Scubapro Mulidhoo Aquarium (★4.4) Aquarium is a dive site located at Mulidhoo Island. It is suitable for all levels of experience. The dive site has a drop off which gives way to a sloping reef dropping down to 25 meters. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Kottefaru Thila (★4.5) Great thila with many small overhangs that often serve as shelter for rays, nurse sharks and turtles. Soft corals and extremely many anemones !! Due to its location in a canal, a current must always be expected. We, therefore, recommend having experience with currents or a * special * dive. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Maafaru Caves (★4.5) Wonderful drift dive in a frenzy of colors. This reef is like an open subway tunnel cut on the side. Soft corals in many different colors hang everywhere in the tunnel. In the middle of the canal, there are coral blocks with a good chance of gray reef shark (when there’s current). The perfect place for a current specialty! DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Maafaru Thila (★4.4) Great challenging reef that consists of 2 thilas. The eastern Thila is not that big and is circled in 25 to 30 minutes then you fly about. 120m to the 2nd thila. Here it goes down again to look for a frogfish. Between November and April mantas and mobulas possible. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Vandhoo (The) Wall (★4.4) A very nice drift dive over several hundred meters along the island of Vandhoo. The top reef made of hard corals drops from 4 to approx. 8m, sloping down to 15m, then a 250m long wall that drops to over 30m +. On the TOP reef, between June and November, is a cleaning station for Mantas. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Beriyan Kuda Thila (★4.6) Because of its current, BKT is reserved for experienced divers or is dived in times of low current. Not far from BBT, the rock rises to a depth of 16m. The south side has a nice plateau at 25m and then drops off steeply to 40m. Cleaning station for gray reef sharks! Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Maroshi Thila (★4.9) This dive site in the north of the Maldives is a pinnacle starting at 16m with overhangs and canyons. Here you will enjoy great fish life and lots of colorful soft corals. Mares Turtle Caves (★4.5) The Turtle Caves are not so much caves as very large overhangs along the reef wall. This dive site is located in the North of Lhaviyani Atoll next to the resort island of Kuredu. Scubapro Kottefaru Anemone Thila (★4.6) This fantastic pinnacle gets its name from a blanket of anemones covering the top of the reef. There are 2 large overhangs on opposite sides of the thila full of interesting corals and glass fish. Aqualung Kottefaru Wall (★4.4) This spectacular wall site, located in the Southeast of Raa Atoll, makes for an interesting drift dive, starting at around 12m and dropping down to over 80m in depth! Aqualung Golden Wall (★4.1) A deep wall dive, starting on a top reef with many hard corals, descending over the edge and down a shear wall, covered in yellow, soft corals to eventual deep overhangs / caverns at its base, around 30m depth. Aqualung Baarah Corner (★4.3) Reef wall from 8m to 25-30m with interesting boulder and old coral formations at the top to deep overhangs and caverns below, often with a changable current to watch for at times and cleaning stations spaced along the top reef, offering opportunities to spot manta rays and turtles in the right conditions/season. The Barefoot Diving Center, Hanimaadhoo Baarah Caves (★4.0) Deep sheer wall to 25-30m from a top reef at around 7m. Deep caverns, overhangs, ledges and small caves at around 16m where white tips and nurse sharks can be seen along with rays resting. Macro life to be found in the deep caverns and along the wall / inside the small overhangs and openings. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Sirru Fen Fushi Hulanghu Faru - Manta Point (★4.7) This prime dive site is located to the northwest of Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi and has everything a diver can dream of. We reach this top dive spot after a 15 minute boat ride. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Sirru Faru Hulhangu (★4.7) Sirru Faru Hulhangu is located about 15 minutes west of Sirru Fen Fushi Private . As with most farus, it is a relatively easy drift dive along a beautiful coral covered reef. The top is at 5 meters and then slopes down to 30+ meters. At various depths you will find overhangs, some covered in beautiful soft corals. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Sirru Faru Dhekunu (★4.8) Sirru Faru Dhekunu is located just outside the boat channel to the south of the island. It is an easy drift dive along a long slope which is not usually affected by strong currents. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Sirru Faru Dhekunu Kang (★4.3) A short, 5-minute boat ride to the southwest of the island takes you to another pretty dive site. Sirru Faru Dhekunu Kang is a spot for the experienced diver since its main attractions lie deep: Long overhangs at 25 to 30 meters. These overhangs are filled with beautiful gorgonians. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Sirru Fen Fushi House Reef (★4.8) A 5-minute boat ride to the east and we arrive at Sirru Faru Irumathi better know as Sirru Fen Fushi’s House Reef! located on the west side of Sirru Fen Fushi’s private Lagoon Resort, this long drift along the slope is suitable for beginner divers as well as divers who don’t enjoy long boat rides. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Fahi Faru (★4.9) About a 30-minute boat ride to the north is this nice, easy dive site for all experience levels. The dive starts at about 10 meters and then slopes down to a sandy bottom around 20 meters. Not far from that you will find another reef covered in beautiful leather corals. Sub Oceanic (Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Shaviyani Atoll Fahi Thila (★4.8) Located in the inside of the atoll, currents tend to be minor. With the maximum depth being 20 meters, it is the perfect spot for all experience levels. The dive site is known for its amazing hard coral life, both on the thila and the main reef. Sub Oceanic @ Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, Shaviyani Atoll Maroshi Irumathi (★4.7) A nice and easy site 30 minutes south of Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort. Located on the east of the local island Maroshi, this dive site is usually done as a drift dive. The dive site features a very shallow top reef and a slope reaching to about 25 meters deep. Sub Oceanic @ Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, Shaviyani Atoll Medhu Faru (★4.6) Medhu Faru is located about 30 minutes south of Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort. The reef is attached to an island and starts at around 2-3 meters deep. From there it slopes to 30 meters and beyond. You will find some nice coral life between 20 and 25 meters as well as many beautiful reef fish. Sub Oceanic @ Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, Shaviyani Atoll Miyaru Thila (★4.5) Miyaru Thila is an excellent dive site about 45 minutes south of Sirru Fen Fushi Private Lagoon Resort. It is an underwater mount (thila) with the reef top starting at about 10 meters, going down to 30 meters on all sides. You can find beautiful overhangs all over the thila at various depths. DivePoint Meedhupparu, 960 Meedhupparu Kinolhas Kandu (★4.4) Drift dive with the current flowing from the western tip of Kinohlas along the north side towards the small Thila. Lots of fish on the top of the reef, some really nice little overhangs deeper. Experienced divers dive to the thila, beginners stay over the overhangs and slowly ascend the Sandy Slope DivePoint You & ME, 200015 Male Uthuru Maafaru North Corner (★4.8) Located north of You&Me Resort at a distance of 20min by boat. Top reef lays at 10mt with a gentle slope dropping to 30mt. On the corner there are a couple of cleaning stations where, from December till April, is possible to encounter Manta Rays. DivePoint You & ME, 200015 Male Sand Bank Reef (You & Me Resort) (★4.6) Amazing shallow dive with full of hard corals and nice slope with finest clear sandy bottom.. located on northeast corner of the sand bank reef.... DivePoint You & ME, 200015 Male Miyaru Giri (★4.5) Located South of You&Me Resort, close to Kadholhudhoo Island in the Channel. Distance by boat is 45min ride. It’s an underwater pinnacle where the top of the Giri starts from 6 to 7m dropping down to 30m. On the southern side of the Giri there are a couple of big coral blocks, where big encounters are possible. DivePoint You & ME, 200015 Male Reethi Thila (★4.5) North East side of You&Me Resort, close to Fuggiri Island in the channel. Distance: 35min by boat. The top of thila is 6 to 7m deep dropping down to 30m on the channel side and 20m in the more inner part. Beautiful overhangs can hide stingrays and nursesharks. 12→
