With this program, you can try a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs. It is a great way to experience what advanced diver training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver Program, you will try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. In this flexible dive program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn about, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics. $125 With Ocean Therapy Scuba — SSI Enriched Air Nitrox (32%-40%) Knowledge‑Based Specialty Course This is a knowledge‑based course and does not require any in‑water training. If you’d like to add a dive experience, the course can be paired with any Saturday morning dive charter for an enhanced learning day. As an Enriched Air Nitrox diver, you’ll learn how to safely plan and dive with oxygen‑enriched gas mixtures of up to 40% O₂. Diving Nitrox allows you to: Increase your no‑decompression limits Extend your bottom times Improve your safety margins Reduce your surface intervals Spend more time exploring and less time waiting topside Throughout the program, you’ll build new skills and deepen your understanding of gas physiology, oxygen exposure management, and the proper use of Nitrox‑compatible equipment. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue.
