Easy dive site, shallow waters, great for beginners to advance. Also nice for Snorkeling and Night Diving. Depth: 3–18 meters. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Zighy Bay (★4.5) Zighy Bay has beautiful scenery. Nice combination of rocks and sandy slopes with a beautiful coral garden. Good for beginners and suitable for night diving as well. Depth: 3–18 meters. REMARKS: Beware of local speedboats since it’s a busy area. Use SMB and stay close to the wall. Mares Qantab Reef (★4.3) Fringing reef starting at 5 meters and descending to 16 meters, offering ideal conditions for both one-way and two-way dives. This site boasts a diverse range of hard and soft coral, interspersed with substantial rocks housing impressive lobsters in hidden crevices. Aqualung Wonder Wall (★4.6) RAS SAMUT Southwest: Great combination of small and big rocks, sandy slopes, and walls with a beautiful coral. This dive site has a couple of nice swim-throughs. Depth: 3–23 meters. REMARKS: There is a current especially during strong tidal changes. REMINDER: Swim-through diving requires advanced diver skills. Al Marsa Travel & Tourism Co., LLC., PO Box 44 Dibba, Musandam Octopus Rock (★4.5) This little (Octopus) rock is one of the best Musandam dive sites and has it all: big and small rocks, slopes, sandy bottom and many corals. You might need two or three dives to cover it all. The average depth ranges from 14–32 meters. REMARKS: There is a current especially during strong tidal movements. Al Marsa Travel & Tourism Co., LLC., PO Box 44 Dibba, Musandam Umm Al Fayyarin (Mother Of Mouse) (★4.6) Umm Al Fayarin is a great combination of walls and slopes with a very nice coral reef spreading around the island. Good for drift diving and advanced night diving. Depth: 10–40 meters. Visibility is usually better compared to the mainland. REMARKS: There is always current, usually from the east. Aqualung Ras Lima (★4.6) Ras Lima is an easy yet beautiful dive site for beginner divers to advanced. Lots of schooling fish and beautiful hard and soft corals. Great for the Macro and Night diving. Depth 3-18 meters. REMARKS: Also beware of local speedboats since it’s a busy area. Use SMB and stay close to the wall. Aqualung Sannat Cave (★4.6) Sannat Cave dive site has a very nice big swim-through, followed by several small ones and beautiful combination of slopes and rocks. Depth: 3–15 meters. Beware of local speedboats since it is a busy area. Use SMBs and stay close to the wall. REMINDER: Swim-through diving requires advanced diver skills. Al Marsa Travel & Tourism Co., LLC., PO Box 44 Dibba, Musandam Ras Sarkan (★4.6) Ras Sarkan is the southern mouth of Habalayn Bay. It is a wall combined with slopes with some beautiful hard and soft corals. Depth: 10–40 meters. REMARKS: There might be some current especially at the corner. Also, beware of local speedboats since it’s a busy area. Use SMB and stay close to the wall. Al Marsa Travel & Tourism Co., LLC., PO Box 44 Dibba, Musandam Al Maqta (★4.8) Al Maqta dive site is opposite of Ras Sarkan on the north part of Habalayn Bay. It is a coral wall with some slopes and a beautiful coral garden. Depth: 10–35 meters. Good for the Macro and Night diving. REMARKS: Some current is on the tips of the site, usually coming from inside out. Aqualung Sannat Bay (★4.4) Sannat Bay is 14.5 nm @ 026 degrees from the Dibba port of Oman. This easy dive site has shallow waters with a sandy bottom, little to no current, and is great for beginners and training. Small schools of fish and turtles. Also nice for Snorkeling and night diving. Aqualung Oman Aquarium (★4.7) Oman Aquarium, located inside Mall of Muscat is Oman’s first recreational, educational, tourism and heritage project. Maximum depth is about 10 meters and you can diving there from 15 to 50 minutes.
