The local shore dive site while Puerto Rico diving is the Playa de Amadores. The sheltered bay is ideal for dive courses and those wanting to try diving for the first time. At El Perchel, divers can drift in mild current exploring overhangs while nearby, descend down onto the Cermona II wreck, a 32-metre fishing vessel sitting 20-metres deep. Dive centres in Puerto Rico will transport divers to the incredible site of El Cabron in Arinaga to experience an adventure through caves, arches and tunnels.

The best Months to dive in Puerto Rico

Located in the Atlantic Ocean, to the West of Morocco, the islands enjoy sunshine all-year-round. The absolute best time to dive is said to be from June through to September when summer water temperatures reach around 23℃. In winter the temperature is slightly cooler, ranging from 17℃-18℃ - with diving best-appreciated while donning a 7mm wetsuit!
