The dive site is about 50 min boat ride from M’pai Bay. Near the beach is a sandy area with rocks, while when diving more to the corner there are lot of rocks covered with corals. A lot of fish and macro life. There can me a slight current, maximum depth is 12m.

Lazy Beach Point (★4.0)

The dive site is 45 minutes by boat and starts shallow. It gradually goes deeper with a colorful reef and lots of coral reef fish. There is no current and suitable for all divers

The dive site is 50 minute boat ride from M’pai Bay and is close to a beach. The site starts shallow with a rocky and sandy bottom and gradually goes deeper to a coral reef with an abundance of fish and reef life,

Coral Garden (★4.1)

This dive site is recently (re)discovered and we found a wide range of hard corals, soft corals, sponges and whip corals. With a maximum depth of 15 meters and easy access from boat it is suitable for all divers.

Cobia Cave (★4.3)

Along the fringing coral reef there is a overhang at 13,5 meter deep. The rock formations are nice and in the cracks of the rocks there are some critters hiding from predators. There is a small upside down fishing boat that sank a while ago.

Back Door (★4.0)

Backdoor is a dive site at the north site of M’pai Bay, it is less than 10 minute boat ride to the mooring buoy. It easy using the descent line. The maximum depth is 14 m with no or slight current.

M’Pai Bay house reef (★4.1)

Easy access from the beach and with a maximum depth of 5 meters it is perfect for try dives, beginners and courses. It is protected with easy conditions.

Vietnamese Bay (★3.6)

Within 10 minute drive of M’pai bay there is a sheltered reef. This dive site is a mix of muck and reef diving. In the sand live interesting creatures which are harder to find and the coral patches are covered with soft and hard corals and contain a variety of reef fish.

Corner bar (★4.0)

The dive site is located at Koh Koun, a small uninhabited island in front of M’pai Bay. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the mooring buoy. There is a descent line with makes it very easy to go down.

Middle Tree (★4.2)

This dive site is between Corner Bar and Last Tree and is a beautiful reef with large rocks covered in soft and hard corals. There is an abundance of macro and fish life.

Last Tree (★4.0)

The dive site is 10 minutes by boat and easy to dive. Sometimes there is a light to mediate current that takes the divers around the corner. There are big rocks covered in soft and hard corals.

Corral (★3.6)

This small bay is perfect for muck and night diving. There is shallow reef close to the island that goes deeper on the outside. It is the only muck dive site in the area.

Secret Reef (★4.4)

This reef is not easy to find but it is our deepest dive site. There is current and maximum depth is 28 meter so only suitable for divers with an advanced/deep dive certificate.

The best Months to dive in Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville offers year-round diving opportunities with warm tropical waters. Water temperatures typically range from 28°C to 30°C/82°F to 86°F throughout the year, providing comfortable conditions for divers. Visibility generally varies from 5 to 15 meters/16 to 49 feet, with the best clarity often found during the dry season.

The dry season, from November to April, brings calmer seas and better visibility, ideal for diving. Conversely, the wet season, spanning May to October, introduces stronger winds and currents, which can reduce visibility and increase surface chop. Despite these changes, diving remains possible year-round, though the wet season is considered less favorable due to rougher conditions.
