Tobacco Caye is a small island located approximately 15 kilometres off of the east coast of Belize, in the Stann Creek District, in the Caribbean Sea. The island is a total of 3 acres big, but underwater, the marine environments are vast. Divers can explore these waters either from dive centres on the mainland, or from the one dive centre on the island. It is located right by the Belize Barrier Reef and there are extraordinary shore dives, boat dives and dive courses. Underwater, divers can see an extraordinary collection of marine environments and marine life, including Sea Turtles and Eagle Rays.

The best Months to Dive in Tobacco Caye
It is possible to dive at Glover's Reef Atoll all year round due to the warm, tropical climate. The air temperatures here range between 21°C in the winter up to 30°C in the summer. The water temperatures vary between 26°C and 30°C; pleasantly warm. The wet season runs from August to October, but the showers are short and do not affect diving. The visibility here is 30 metres on average.

The marine life here is so untouched and in pristine condition that divers get to see some of the healthiest reefs and marine life in the world. The reefs are built up of a multitude of Hard Corals, Soft Corals, Anemones and Sea Sponges and they hold a plethora of marine life which live and among them. The waters are filled with large schools of colourful reef fish which light up like confetti in the sky and there are even large species including Eagle Rays, Stingrays and Sea Turtles which like to make an appearance.
