Blue Dive

To dive Blue Dive you will get dropped from a fishermen boat out into the blue. This is a ver exiting dive for advanced divers or higher. Everybody comes out with a big smile. This dive is deep and in the open ocean so make sure you a very good a buoyancy control.

You will see a lot of sponges and groupers, vast sand fields with sea stars and flatfish. Moray eels are not unusual as well.

Maze is done as a boat dive and is good for all levels. This site has a simply amazing mineral landscape that is hard to describe in words. Constant passages and turquoise waters are seen here, giving this site its name. n.

This is a second world war ship-parts scattered from 13m to deeper than 60m. It is still not clear what kind of boat parts you see. There are some theories, but nothing concrete.

South of Amorgos. Beautiful dive with a glance at the past and the history of this island. Unique experience, for those that want something more than fish .

Cathedral (★4.5)

Cathedral is a nice shore dive for all levels of divers. It can be combined with a wall dive just next to the cavern. There is a chimney allowing sunbeams to create what are called “cathedral light.“ This can be a deep dive where you can observe some very unique antique pottery.

Barracuda Point is a shore dive for all levels. There are lots of fish. On almost every dive you will see a large school of barracuda. You can get very close. They will circle around curiously looking at you.

Swimming Pool (★4.2)

Swimming Pool is a calm, clear dive site that complies with all the rules and standards for a safe initiation in scuba diving. Many training dives are conducted here. A spot where you can reach the water from two sides.

Fokiotripa (★5.0)

This dive site is a drop-dive from a fishermen boat. You do a long shallow dive, with awesome passages and rock formations. Your camera won’t stay still. There is a small cavern. This dive is for all levels of diver.

Blue Diamond (★4.4)

this is a boat dive for all levels. Advanced divers can visit a cavern. This cannot be called an island since it is so small but gets pretty large just under the surface, making amazingly beautiful shades of blue from light to really dark . On this rock you will see only birds above water.

Black Point (★4.2)

Black Point is a boat dive suitable for all levels. This site has a small cave. You will find great visibility, typical Mediterranean marine life, and if you get lucky, big pelagics. This is a shallow dive, but the landscape and the visibility are what make it relaxed and enjoyable.

G. Lighthouse (★4.1)

This boat dive is for very experienced divers. Hanging nets, anchors, antique pots, and breathtaking depths await. You will definitely see the amphoras, and if everybody has enough air you can go deeper and see 3 anchors. One of them is huge and standing straight like a monument.

Lucky Spot is a deep boat dive. It was accidentally discovered and is full of marvellous amphora and a tranquil sandy bottom. Beautiful, relaxing dive with a glimpse at the past!!

Castle Rock is a boat dive around a pinnacle. This spot is where fishermen place nets because the fish population is so big. At this site, you can also see antique pottery.

K. Lighthouse (★3.7)

This is a boat dive for all diver levels. This site is an easy relaxing wall dive. You can see the remains of the old lighthouse very close to the port and easy to reach. This is a beautiful wall.

A breathtaking landscape dive located “just around the corner” from the popular cavern in this area. This deep wall dive starts with a beautiful wall sloping down to 40 meters. Because of the excellent visibility, you are able to see all the way down to the sandy bottom.

The cavern’s shape creates a spectacular landscape towards the blueness of the open sea. On the way back, you can explore pockets in the wall where a huge meadow of Neptune grass (indicating how clean these waters are) is home to fan mussels, nudibranchs, pipe fish and much more.

An amazing dive and a short boat ride to the western tip of the Island of Nikouria. This deep wall dive is truly fascinating with a stunning cavern at around 25m. It is the closest experience to skydiving you can get in the sea.

A perfect place for those who love the blue. Located on the east side of the island, this dive site offers the opportunity to swim through a relatively narrow passage created by fallen rocks, with the entrance at around 18m.

Old Bauxite Mine (★0.0)

Under the old Bauxite Mines of Amorgos on the east side of the island, you will find a unique dive site that bears witness to the once bustling mines. After a steep drop off there is a plateau at 18 metres where you can see parts of the equipment used to load the mined bauxite to different cargo ships.

A hidden bay only 5 minutes from the port of Aegiali. The site is a beautiful natural harbour. This wall dive is special for its abundant fish life, especially the beautiful damsel fish which are seen in large schools.
