The new Boone Reservoir Day Use Area officially opened on May 21, 2016. It features a white sand beach and swim area along with a new boat ramp, walking trails, a pavilion, picnic tables with grills, fishing pier, a volleyball court and restrooms.
TWRA has stock Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, hybrid Striped Bass, and catfish are the predominant game fish. Since Boone can support high densities of fish.
