Clarks Hill, East Dam

★★★★☆ (1,537)

This is Clark’s Hill Lake, also called Lake Strom Thurmond. It’s a great place for boating, swimming, and scuba diving. The main environmental conditions to think about here are temperature, depth, a rocky and steep descent to the shoreline, and possible interference from other people.

You’ll see some freshwater animals, including bluegill, bass, and catfish. Don’t harass them, and please don’t mess with the rocks and other natural objects.
