El Fafo
★★★★★
(623)
Northwest of the small island of Lobos lies a secret cave. Anchor at a depth of 23m on top of a volcanic platform, where you descend vertically through a narrow gorge to 32m. There the reef opens into a kind of church portal. Tunnels and cracks complete the amazing volcanic landscape.
Dusky groupers (including the rare “capitan“), sea breams, and barracudas are frequently observed; massive groupers hide in the cracks, rays, and sometimes angel sharks swim in the sand.
