La Montagna di Scilla
★★★★★
(57)
At the foot of the Rock of Scylla, the bottom drops steeply down to 30-40 m, where a submerged cliff begins, among which an imposing pinnacle stands out for its shape and size, known to all as “La Montagna“, a spire with walls vertical, about twenty meters high, covered with huge fans of two-colored gorgonians.
We are in the kingdom of the Coelenterates, colonial marine invertebrates that make these bottoms comparable to the tropical ones. Dense two-colored gorgonians Paramuricea clavata.
