The Lake Cadagno (Cadagno Lake) is a natural reservoir in the Piora region in the municipality of Quinto in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The Lago di Cadagno ecosystem with the Piora Variation named after the Val Piora is unique in both Switzerland and Europe and is located in the Centro di Biologia di Alpi.
Lake Cadagno displays a unique feature; two chemically very different water layers are permanently stratified over the seasons. A small transition zone separates the two layers.
