The wreck of the Heinkel 111, off the coast of Cap Saint-Martin, lies on a sandy seabed and is a remarkable historic site. Well-preserved, it attracts experienced divers looking to explore a remnant of World War II in generally clear water.
The wreck is colonized by sponges, algae, and gorgonians, attracting conger eels, moray eels, scorpionfish, sars, nudibranchs, and numerous Mediterranean fish.
