Lodestone reef is the closest reef to Townsville being only just over an hour via boat. Depths range from 3m to 45m so it caters for all types of divers and snorkelers. Visibility is usually around 5 - 20m depending on weather.
Lodestone Reef have a large variety of life from big plant corals to cow tail rays and white tip reef sharks. During winter is the best time to see manta rays and Humpback whales.
