Mermaid’s Grotto
Apogama (Mermaid Grotto) in Onna Village, Okinawa, features a large natural cave with a heart-shaped hollow, famed as a lovers’ spot. With depths to 35m, its underwater tunnels and arches offer stunning topography and diverse marine life, making it a captivating dive site.
Apogama hosts lance fish, yellowfin seabream, dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, lobsters, nebrids, and occasional turtles or barracudas.
