P.O.S. (Cockroach Island)
This site was used by Jacques Cousteau for research while he was based in the BVI, and still boasts an impressive array of marine life. The steep coral and sponge covered pinnacle rises from 24m/80 feet to 5m/15 feet and has some interesting ledges and overhangs to investigate. Can be prone to current!
Barracuda and Jacks are often found at the peak, while schools of Snappers, Grunts, and Goatfish can be seen under the ledges at the base. Look for Sharks, Rays, and Turtles passing by.
