South Holston Dam

South Holston Lake is a shore accessible fresh water dive site, located in Bristol, TN. The maximum depth is 121-130ft/30-40m,The average visibility is 16-20ft/5-6m.The shoreline is only partially developed and much of the reservoir is bordered by the Cherokee National Forest.

Winter drawdowns are severe and water levels can fluctuate 40 feet below the summer pool. Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Trout, Crappie, and Catfish are popular game fish.
