South Australian, commonly known as The Dredge or Glenelg Dredge, was built in Holland in 1911 and arrived in Australia in 1912. South Australian was decommissioned in 1982 and scuttled on 16 January 1985 as an artificial reef for recreational scuba and fishers.

Schooling fish, nudibranchs, crabs, and sponges dominate this wreck. If you are lucky, Blue Devils and Wobbegong sharks live under overhangs.

A gorgeous dive site good for dive training, snorkelling, and simply entry and exits. Average depth is around 5m, there is a Scuba trail with underwater placards with information about the reef placed along the south portion of the reef wall.
