Somervell County Water District opened Wheeler Branch Park on August 7, 2010. The park has a boat ramp with floating dock, a beach area that also has its own floating dock island, public restrooms, covered picnic areas, and a large pavilion.
You may see bass, carp or catfish at this site. There have also been reports of freshwater jellyfish.
