After Work Dive: Equipment Check

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. Start today - You must be a Divemaster or equivalent to participate in SSI's 3-level instructor training program. The training begins with participation in the combination Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course, accompanied by Digital Learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will take part in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training entitles you to independently teach various SSI key programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. Becoming a certified SSI Specialty Instructor is easy. Train as an instructor and register for any specialty instructor seminar you would like to teach. Alternatively, you can teach your desired specialty course together with an experienced specialty instructor or apply directly to SSI for a review of your experience. If you teach enough specialties, you will automatically qualify for your Advanced Open Water Instructor certification.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty course is the best way to improve your buoyancy and experience perfect dives. Buoyancy control is one of the most important diving skills, but as any experienced diver will tell you, it takes time to perfect. In this course, you will learn advanced buoyancy skills and techniques to help you master your buoyancy faster. By improving your water position and optimizing your buoyancy control, you can reduce your air consumption and increase your bottom times. In this fascinating course you will also learn new skills to protect the underwater world, which can always be used. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Well-balanced, you will soon be gliding calmly through the water, taking the underwater photos you've always dreamed of or simply enjoying the weightlessness.

Diving skills easily become rusty and after a while you lose confidence in your own abilities. An SSI Scuba Skills Update will get you back in the water and back to your old strength in no time at all. In the refresher course, you repeat and practise the diving skills from your Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI professional. However, a scuba skills update is not only a relaxed way of refreshing your diving skills, but often also a prerequisite for resuming diving training after a break. If you don't want to worry about your skills on your diving vacation and would rather enjoy the underwater world instead, take the course shortly before your trip. The course is also ideal for Open Water Diver students to consolidate their diving skills before open water dives. The flexible course duration allows you to take your time and concentrate on your weaknesses.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for the sport of diving by completing the Divemaster program. All you need are 40 verified dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, or at least 5 verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a Dive Guide.If you want to turn your passion into a career by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors, or even becoming a dive instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with at least 60 logged/verified dives. After closing time, we have exclusive use of the outdoor pool.We’ll meet at 6:30 p.m. at Bauer Tauchsport. We’ll set up our equipment together. We’ll then enter the pool together as soon as regular swimming hours are over.At the After Work Dive: Equipment Check, you can try out your own diving equipment in a relaxed setting right in the water and see if your setup feels comfortable.In addition, you can try out selected test equipment from Bauer Tauchsport right in the water—for example, new Mares fins and regulators, as well as XDeep Wings. The availability of individual models may vary.Afterward, there will be plenty of time for free diving, sharing experiences, and getting to know other divers.The evening is aimed at certified divers, those returning to diving, and former course participants.Important: This is not a course, a certification, or a technical service or safety check of your equipment. The After Work Dive is not a substitute for an SSI Scuba Skills Update or Specialty.
