By developing your search techniques and practicing search procedures in a dive team, you will become a confident search and rescue diver during this course. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Search & Recovery Specialty certification.

This specialty provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn different ways to orientate yourself underwater using a compass or natural navigation, determine directions and distances, navigate different courses and search patterns, find different marker points and learn how to return to your starting point.
