The SSI Deep Diving Specialty teaches you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters through a mix of theory and open water diving. You'll learn how to plan and make your deep diving adventures safe and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI specialty is also a requirement for other advanced courses making it the next logical step to get your Deep Diver certification.

The SSI Decompression Specialty teaches you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You’ll learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single decompression cylinder. You’ll learn and practice how to effectively use your dive computer’s features, such as gas switching, gas integration, time-to-reserve, and time-to-surface. Using these computer functions will become second nature, allowing you to dive safely with limited decompression without spending hours on dive planning.
