Decompression Diving

At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

The local underwater world in the Rhine offers a multitude of opportunities for impressive diving experiences and invites you to explore. The feeling of the current and the impressive amount of fish make river diving in the Rhine a unique experience. In the Specialty River Diving you will learn how to prepare your equipment for diving in rivers and which river-specific additional equipment and rescue equipment is required. In theory and practice, you will be familiarized with the safe planning, preparation and execution of river dives.

In the Specialty Enriched Air Nitrox you will learn how to safely plan, prepare and conduct nitrox dives with gas mixtures consisting of oxygen-enriched air with a maximum O2 content of 40%. In the practical part of the course, the content of the theoretical training will be put into practice. For this purpose, the equipment for the (simulated) dive should be prepared and an air analysis carried out with the prescribed logistics. Optionally, real dives with Nitrox can also be integrated into the training. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 40%.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course teaches you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You’ll learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single tank. You’ll learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas switching or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become second nature to you, allowing you to conduct safe limited-decompression dives without spending hours planning each dive. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore breathtaking deep dive sites or large wrecks without being limited by no-decompression limits.
