Dive training Dive Guide, who is it for?
You can take the Dive Guide course from 15 years old. To become a diving professional, you must be at least 18 years old. You have at least 40 logged dives at the start of the course. You have the certifications Diver Stress & Rescue, Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility. These certifications may be from SSI or equivalent organizations. Also recommended is the specialty Nitrox.
Eligibility and Requirements
Minimum Age
The minimum age is 15/18. You will have 40 dives at the start.
Number of dives in the course
You will take the swimming proficiency test, attend 3 workshops in pool / confined water and make 2 to 4 dives in open water.
Required for certification
Reading through the theory, taking the online exams and completing the specialty dives. You will have at least 50 logged dives for your Dive Guide certification and at least 60 dives for your Divemaster certification.

SSI Professional Registration € 121,00 (one-time fee paid with your first SSI professional training). The professional registration also gives you (free) access to the following theory specialties: Computer Diving, Equipment Techniques, Marine Ecology, and Science of Diving.
