Start today - You need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI´s 3-Step Instructor Training Approach. The training process starts with joining the Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course combination accompanied with Digital Learning. After successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) you will enroll in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10 day training program entitles you to teach various key SSI programs independently like Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. For those who want to take more time to learn and to gain valuable teaching experience between the training programs the 3 parts can also be taken as single steps - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE) one after the other at own pace and with a flexible schedule.

In this side-mounted diving course, you will learn everything you need for single- or double-tank recreational side-mounted diving to a maximum depth of 30 meters or your certification depth (whichever is deeper). Night diving requires different skills than day diving. The SSI Night Diving and Low Visibility Specialty is the best way to learn night diving and practice the techniques needed to become a safe and confident night diver. In this course, you will gain all the knowledge and skills needed to dive safely and comfortably at night or in limited visibility conditions. Through a combination of online learning and open water training dives, you will learn how to enter and exit the water, how to use professional equipment, and how to communicate easily with your buddy at night or in limited visibility conditions. Upon completion, you will receive SSI Night Diving and Low Visibility Specialty certification and be ready to dive with confidence.

As a nitrox diver, you can increase your dive time and safety margins while reducing surface time – allowing you to spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this course, you will learn new skills, enhance your diving knowledge, and learn how to safely plan and use nitrox mixtures with an oxygen content of up to 40%. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an SSI Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The SSI Deepwater Diving Professional course combines academic instruction with open water diving, teaching you everything you need to dive to depths of 18 to 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely complete deep-sea expeditions, how to use a computer and calculate air consumption to maximize your benefits from your dives. Upon completion, you will receive an SSI Deepwater Professional certification, enabling you to explore beautiful deep-sea diving sites anywhere. This SSI Professional course is also a prerequisite for some advanced training programs, making it a logical next step in your diving education.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialist course teaches you the skills needed to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents, and practical techniques for conducting rescues and providing emergency care. Through a combination of pool and open water practice, you will be fully prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescue situations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialist certification.
