SSI's specialized Diver Stress and Rescue program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, how to prevent accidents, and learn practical techniques for performing rescue procedures and providing emergency assistance. Through a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well prepared and confident in dealing with emergency and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins and reduce your surface intervals between dives - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you'll learn new skills and expand your diving knowledge while learning to safely plan and execute dives with an air mixture enriched with up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

During this basic program you will learn everything you need to safely freedive with a buddy in a pool/enclosed water up to 5 meters deep. In this program, online training is combined with in-water practice to give you all the skills and knowledge you need. Upon completion of the program, you will be certified as an SSI Basic Freediver.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become a diving ambassador by completing the Divemaster program. All you need is 40 logged/verified dives and certification in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a Dive Guide. If you want to turn your passion into a profession and become a Certified Dive Guide, Environmental Program Instructor, Assistant Instructor or even an Instructor, the next step is to upgrade to a Divemaster with a minimum of 60 logged/verified dives. You can upgrade to Divemaster immediately or anytime later after self-studying the Science of Diving materials and passing the final exam that will make you an SSI professional.

This globally recognized training program is the best way to start your lifelong adventure as a certified diver. One-on-one instruction is combined with in-water training, giving you the skills and experience needed to feel truly comfortable underwater. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified as an SSI Open Water Diver.

If you can't decide which SSI specialty programs are the best choice for you, apply for the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You'll try out deep diving and navigation and a variety of 3 other specializations of your choice before committing to full specialization training. It's a great way to experience what advanced dive training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you'll try 5 different specializations by completing one open water training dive for each specialization after a comprehensive briefing with an SSI instructor. Completing this program gives you complete freedom to explore. At any time in the future, you can take the complete specialization training and count your Advanced Open Water Diver training towards it.

This specialty program will provide you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn how to properly use a compass, natural navigation techniques, distance estimation, leaving and returning to a specific point, and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will contribute to improving your underwater observation skills, increasing your safety while diving and getting the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified as an SSI Navigation Specialty.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty will teach you how to conduct dives beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational full-diving system and a single decompression tank. You’ll learn and practice how to effectively use dive computer functions, including gas switching, gas integration, time to reserve, and time to surface. Using these dive computer functions will become second nature to you and will allow you to safely conduct limited-decompression dives without spending hours planning your dives. Upon completion, you’ll earn your SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore amazing deep dive sites or larger wrecks without being restricted by traditional no-decompression limits. The possibilities for expanding your diving adventures have just gotten even wider!

Night diving requires different skills than daytime diving. The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty is the best way to get acquainted with night diving and practice the techniques you’ll need to become a safe and confident night diver. In this program, you’ll gain all the knowledge and skills you need to dive safely and comfortably at night or in limited visibility. Through a combination of online instruction and open-water training dives, you’ll learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and easily communicate with your dive buddy at night or in limited visibility. Upon completion, you’ll earn the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialization certification and be ready to embark on night dives with confidence.

Do you want to be prepared for situations where every minute counts? A first aid course will give you the confidence that nothing can replace in moments of crisis.You’ll learn CPR, how to use an AED, and the proper procedures for choking, unconsciousness, and massive bleeding. You’ll practice administering oxygen and, most importantly, you’ll get hands-on training on a manikin so you’ll know how to respond even under pressure.This isn’t just theory.
