further dates on request / If you can't yet decide which specialty programs are right for you, take part in an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! This program allows you to learn about different diving topics before deciding on a full specialty program. It's a great way to learn what your Advanced training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. In the Advanced Open Water Diver program you have the opportunity to try out five specialties. After a detailed briefing with your SSI instructor, you will complete one open water training dive for each specialty. This gives you the opportunity to discover all specialty programs. You can complete all specialty programs at a later date at any time and have your Advanced Open Water Diver training dive credited towards this.

further dates by arrangement / The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy to experience perfect dives. Buoyancy is one of the most important diving skills, but any experienced diver will tell you that perfecting it takes time. In this course you will learn advanced buoyancy skills and techniques to help you master your buoyancy faster. By improving your water position and optimizing your buoyancy control, you can reduce your air consumption and increase your bottom times. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills to protect the underwater world that can always be used. At the end of the program you will receive the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Well-balanced, you will soon be gliding calmly through the water, taking the underwater photos you've always dreamed of or simply enjoying the weightlessness.

further dates by arrangement / This course teaches the basic knowledge of dive planning, learning new swimming and buoyancy techniques, handling a deco-stage tank, gas exchange, emergency procedures and equipment configurations. It is the perfect introduction to technical diving. This program provides the knowledge and skills necessary to plan and conduct limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45 meters and nitrox mixes up to 100%. The course includes several theory lessons as well as training sessions in shallow and deep water. The focus is on learning all the necessary skills to safely perform technical dives.

further dates by arrangement / This course provides advanced knowledge of dive planning and execution with Trimix as breathing gas. Hypoxic Trimix dives include dives with one or more Trimix mixtures. The bottom mix contains a maximum of 17% oxygen. Most of the nitrogen is replaced by helium. This enables safe diving at great depths. After completing the course, the participant is certified to dive without a depth limit. The course includes several theory lessons and training sessions. Training dives take place at a minimum depth of 85m.

Becoming a certified SSI Specialty Instructor is easy. Train as an instructor and register for any specialty instructor seminar that you would like to teach. Alternatively, you can also teach your desired specialty program together with an experienced specialty instructor or apply directly to SSI for a review of your experience. If you teach enough specialties, you will automatically qualify for your Advanced Open Water Instructor certification.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits. The chances of improving your diving adventures just got better!

additional dates on request / Join an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty program if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! The program expands your diving knowledge to include safe planning of dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

additional dates on request / The SSI Science of Diving Specialty program provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The program is the foundation for most SSI Professional programs as well as some Extended Range programs and is an essential part of deepening your diving knowledge. You can complete your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online from the comfort of your own home. Upon completion of the course, you will be halfway to the coveted SSI Divemaster rating and receive your Science Of Diving certification.

additional dates on request / The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty program is the best course to learn the skills necessary to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and learn practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.
