Medical Examination for Diving

Every Wednesday from mid-May to the beginning of September we offer a guided dive in a nearby lake. Prerequisite: At least SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another diving association and a valid diving fitness certificate For club members participation is free of charge (rental equipment for a fee), for non-club members we have to charge a fee of € 10.- (if a dive guide / supervision by us / our DivePROs is desired or required - this does not apply to participants who are self-sufficient, i.e. only looking for a buddy and can also lead a dive themselves).

The oceans are a huge, dynamic part of our planet. Surprisingly, it is only in the last century that we have begun to understand the importance of our oceans to us humans. To date, despite state-of-the-art technology, we have only explored about 5% of the oceans. Marine ecology is a broad and exciting field that deserves our attention and curiosity. This course is a basic introduction to these areas. It explores how organisms interact with each other and their environment, how energy flows through individual communities, and how oceanic ecosystems are interconnected. Immerse yourself in this course and find out what your role is in the changing ecology of marine ecosystems. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Marine Ecology Specialty certification. Neugierig aber noch unentschlossen? Dann nutze die Möglichkeit des Schnuppertauchens bei Deiner Entscheidung! Neben einer theoretischen Einweisung (Funktion und Umgang mit der Ausrüstung, Erklärung wichtiger Unterwasserhandzeichen) sammelst Du unter Anleitung eines Tauchlehrers im Schwimmbad erste Erfahrungen im und unter Wasser. Eine intensive Betreuung und genügend Zeit für Deine ersten Schritte sind selbstverständlich. Voraussetzungen für das Schnuppertauchen ist ein Mindestalter von 8 Jahre, ein guter Gesundheitszustand und Badesachen. Alles weitere (Ausrüstung, Maske, Flossen) bekommst Du gestellt und ist wie der Eintritt ins Schwimmbad im Preis enthalten.

Regain a sense of safety and confidence after a long break from diving by refreshing your diving skills from the Open Water Diver course. Knowledge: During your SSI Scuba Skills Update program, a Dive Leader will briefly review the theoretical knowledge from the Open Water Diver course with you and also impart other useful knowledge. Skills: During the SSI Scuba Skills Update you will get the opportunity to review all the exercises you have already learned during the Open Water Diver program. Equipment: The SSI Scuba Skills Update is perfect for reviewing basic equipment handling skills and making adjustments to new equipment and practicing its correct handling. Thus prepared, you can experience future dives in local waters even more relaxed and the fear of the next "check dive" at your vacation destination is also a thing of the past. Moving through the water in a relaxed manner, floating weightlessly above the bottom and observing the reef inhabitants up close without scaring them away with movements, touching them or even stirring up sediment - this is what distinguishes a good diver from a very good diver. The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty course is the best way to improve your buoyancy and experience perfect dives. Buoyancy is one of the most important diving skills, but as any experienced diver will tell you, it takes time to perfect. In this course you will learn advanced buoyancy skills and techniques to help you master your buoyancy faster. By improving your buoyancy and optimizing your buoyancy control, you can reduce your air consumption and increase your bottom times. During summer we offer one or two guided dives every Sunday in one of the surrounding lakes. Prerequisite: At least SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another diving association, a valid diving fitness certificate and your own ABC equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, booties, gloves). For club members, participation is free of charge (rental equipment for a fee), for non-club members we have to charge a fee of € 10 (if a dive guide / supervision by us / our DivePROs is desired or required - this does not apply to participants who are self-sufficient, i.e. only looking for a buddy and can also lead a dive themselves).

"A valuable program for emergencies" REACT RIGHT is SSI's emergency training program. It is a timely training program in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, AED and oxygen administration for diving accidents. It also covers first aid so that any accident can be treated safely. Participation in a REACT RIGHT program increases diving safety and your well-being. A valid first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate is also required by SSI and other organizations in order to obtain the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue qualification. The oceans are filled with special and beautiful fish of all shapes and colors. Imagine you have just experienced a wonderful dive in the ocean, are spending your vacation on a tropical island or have just watched a documentary about fascinating fish. Wouldn't you like to know which fish they are and what they are called? In this course you will learn to recognize and identify the fish of the Caribbean, the Indo-Pacific and the Red Sea and which body characteristics and behaviors you need to pay attention to in order to be able to identify and classify the individual species. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Fish Identification Specialty certification. Minimum number of participants: 2 Course price plus digital kit fee!

Scuba tanks must be inspected every 2.5 years - entrust us with your tank, we will take care of it! Please hand in your tank(s) at the latest on the Thursday before the respective date!
