The SSI Extended Range Nitrox course provides a thorough introduction to the concepts, techniques and procedures required when planning decompression dives with nitrox. Designed both as a stand-alone program and as a first step in becoming an SSI Extended Range diver, this enriched air course provides the fundamental skills that are the foundation for all future technical programs. Using a Total Diving System with a double cylinder, this course prepares divers to plan and conduct dives, with limited decompression, to a maximum depth of 40 m. It will also teach you the techniques and procedures for using breathing gas up to 100 percent oxygen, for decompression.

You will learn techniques and procedures for using air and/or trimix breathing gases and nitrox mixtures up to 100% oxygen, for accelerated decompression, for dives up to 45m with 25 min maximum deco.

If you can't decide which specialty program is the best choice for you, take SSI's Advanced Open Water Diver course! You will try Deep Diving and Navigation, as well as 3 other specialty areas of your choice, before committing to a full specialty course. This is a great way to experience advanced training diving and the value it can have for your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver Program, you will experience 5 different specialties by completing an open water training dive for each specialty after a full briefing with your SSI Instructor. By participating in this program you will have total freedom to explore. You will be able to complete the full Open Water Specialty training at any time and credit your Advanced Open Water Diver training.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a complex of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn how to safely plan and complete your deep diving adventures and how to use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. Upon completion, you will have your SSI Deep Diving certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you choose. This SSI specialty is also a prerequisite for some advanced training, making it the next logical step to take in your dive training.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, as well as shorten your surface intervals. So you can spend more time diving and shorten your surface interval! In this course you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge, learning how to plan and dive safely with air mixtures enriched up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The Divemaster course is the first step in an exciting journey. Gain the respect of your fellow divers and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster course. All you need to get started are 40 verified/recorded dives and Deep Diving, Navigation, Night Diving & Limited Visibility certifications or at least 5 recorded/verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. The SSI Technical Extended Range course syllabus builds on the skills and techniques learned as an Extended Range Trimix Diver. During this course, you will go beyond the no-decompression limit, increasing the depth and duration of your dive. Using technical equipment and an XR Sidemount or a Total Diving System with a double tank,, the Technical Extended Range course provides avid dive explorers with the training they need to independently plan and conduct dives with gas mixtures, with unlimited decompression, to depths of up to 60 m.
