SSI MERMAID EXPLORERS The Mermaid Explorer course is for children only. This course will teach them the fundamentals of mermaiding, swimming and posing with mermaid fins or monofins, how to hold breath longer underwater, and more. The SSI Cavern Diving course will engage you to dive deeper into the cavern zones. With the cavern diving course, you will engage in a new way to dive, like to learn proper cave buoyancy and propulsion skills along with line laying and light usage. What's the difference between a Cave and a Cavern in scuba diving? A Cavern is this zone where you can still see the light from outside, so if at least, you can see the light at the entrance while exploring a flooded cave, you are in the cavern zone.
