OWD Course...the classic This course certifies you to dive to a depth of 18 meters worldwide without being accompanied by a dive instructor.Training Components: Online Theory Indoor Pool Training Open Water TrainingWe offer you scuba training at the highest level and in accordance with SSI’s strict quality standards (RSTC-certified, recognized worldwide). Our own quality assurance programs and those of the associations ensure that you receive training that will actually enable you to dive, rather than just granting you certification to do so after the course. We take the time to work individually with our students and practice with you until you’ve mastered the skills and feel confident. We have everything under one roof, and we have instructors available every day to practice with you. There’s no time pressure, whether during pool or open-water training. You can complete your theory training online from home. Your instructor will monitor your progress and can help you if you run into any problems. Our rental equipment is state-of-the-art, and during your course you’ll be provided with gear that fits you—which you can also rent from us after the course to practice.THEORY:You will learn the theory through self-study and at your own pace. Before the OWD open-water dives, you must have passed the theoretical exam. Don’t worry—if you pay close attention during the pool training and read the course materials carefully, the exam won’t be a major hurdle. If you still have any questions, your dive instructor will be there to offer advice and support.PRACTICE:The practical training is divided into two areas:Pool:During the pool training, you’ll learn all the basic practical skills you need for your future as a diver. The pool training is divided into several modules. The pool dives are usually spread over 2 days; a weekend is often the best option for this. The total diving time during pool training is at least 3.5 hours. For theory lessons, equipment training, and pre- and post-dive briefings, add approximately 3–4 hours per day. This means you’ll spend at least 6–8 hours per pool training day with us at Divers – Indoor.Open Water:We conduct 4 open-water dives. Even though it might sound a little strange, we’re allowed to conduct Open Water Dives 1 and 2 here at Divers – Indoor under optimal conditions. If you’d prefer to do Open Water Dives 1 and 2 at a lake or in the ocean, please let your future dive instructor know so they can plan it with you.Minimum dive time per dive: 30 minutes (taking into account your well-being and the water and ambient temperatures)Open Water Dives Dives 3 and 4 are conducted in a lake or the ocean. Here, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in real diving conditions.Minimum dive time per dive: 30 minutes (taking into account your well-being and the water and ambient temperatures)IMPORTANT!
