The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You'll learn how to recognize stress, prevent accidents and learn practical techniques to perform rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of sessions in the pool and in open water, you'll be well prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

Every diver strives to be a skilled diver. Mastering your buoyancy is the very first step toward that goal.An advanced course that improves buoyancy control is highly recommended. It is not uncommon for divers to have to make an additional check dive during vacations to demonstrate their buoyancy control skills. Around the world, coral reefs suffer damage caused by divers who lack sufficient control over their buoyancy. However, the knowledge you gain during this diving course will improve every dive you make afterward.During this specialty course, you’ll learn everything about buoyancy and proper adjustment in two dives in our dive tower. When you become an SSI Level 1 freediver, you open the door to freediving opportunities around the world. Learning to freedive with SSI is easier than you think. This program combines (online) training, pool/confined-water sessions, and open-water dives to help you become a confident and safe freediver in no time.
