SSI Sidemount Course:
In this Sidemount Diving course, you will learn everything you need to know about sidemount diving, both in single-cylinder and two-cylinder configurations, for recreational diving to a maximum depth of 30 meters or the depth specified by the certification level you have earned (whichever is deeper)
Sidemount diving has long been a popular style among wreck, mine, and cave divers. Today, many recreational divers are also beginning to discover the benefits of this diving style.
When you don’t have to carry an air tank on your back, you’ll feel more comfortable underwater. It also helps you streamline your body and maintain your dive trim more naturally and effectively.
Reduced energy expenditure can help lower air consumption, allowing you to spend more time exploring underwater. Additionally, better buoyancy control, easier access to tank valves, and having a backup air supply (redundancy) further enhance safety and build confidence during your dives.
This course is designed to help you discover and enjoy the benefits of sidemount diving while learning all the necessary knowledge and skills to dive safely, confidently, and comfortably with both single-tank and twin-tank sidemount equipment.
