Our assistant instructor Jürgen will take you to the Nordstrand diving lake in Erfurt, a former gravel pit. Diving center, parking lot, dressing benches and a small restaurant - everything is close together and the way to the water is not far. A comfortable staircase leads into the water. Come with us to Saxony to the "Pearl of Lusatia". The Horka diving lake is one of the clearest lakes in Germany. Depending on the season, it spoils divers with visibility of over ten to fifteen meters. On these weekends you have the opportunity to enjoy an open water weekend with us, during which further training courses also take place. You can also just do fun dives or test your new equipment.

In this specialty program, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to safely and confidently navigate underwater. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, how to leave and return to a designated point, plus basic navigation patterns. You will also be taught how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of which hones your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety and helps you to get the most out of every dive. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites wherever you choose. After completing the course you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

Join the SSI Manta and Ray Ecology specialty program and you will learn how to dive with rays and recognize different ray species. You will be taught how rays contribute to healthy ocean ecosystems and why these precious animals need our protection. Upon completion, you will earn your SSI Manta & Ray Ecology Specialty certification.

The SSI Science of Diving Specialty course provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The course is the foundation for most SSI Professional courses and some Extended Range courses and is an essential part of deepening your diving knowledge. You can complete your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online from the comfort of your own home. Upon completion of the course, you will be halfway to the coveted SSI Divemaster and receive your Science of Diving certification.
