There are situations in which solo diving and the knowledge of the possibilities of independent diving are useful, for example for photo dives, for dive leaders, etc. The proven buddy system is in no way denied in this course, because it is the safest and most widely practiced form of recreational diving. In this course, the physical requirements, the psychological characteristics and the technical equipment of independent diving are discussed. The special risks of solo diving and how to deal with them are discussed in detail. The course consists of a theory unit and three open water dives. Upon successful completion you will receive the Independent Diver certification.
