As a Nitrox diver you can increase your bottom times or safety margins and of course shorten surface intervals - so you can spend more time exploring the dive sites you love most and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge while learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The Assistant Instructor certification is the next step after becoming a Divemaster and another step on your path to becoming a dive instructor. This will give you valuable teaching experience. You practice briefings, give theory and lessons in the water. If you want to continue your career as a dive professional, you can complete the Instructor Training Course, pass an Instructor Evaluation and become an Open Water Diving Instructor.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty is the best way to improve buoyancy and get the most out of every dive. Buoyancy is an essential diving skill but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. With the Perfect Buoyancy specialty, you will learn advanced skills and techniques so you can master your buoyancy faster and enjoy more relaxed diving adventures. In this fascinating program, you'll also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in any situation. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With improved buoyancy, you'll soon be able to float even easier, take the underwater photos you dream about and explore the ocean effortlessly.

It's easy for diving skills to get rusty and lose confidence if you haven't dived for a while. The SSI Scuba Skills Update will get you back in the water and diving quickly. This refresher course allows you to review and practice the diving skills you learned in your Open Water Diver program, under the guidance of an SSI Professional. This is a great course to take right before a diving vacation, so you can worry less about your skills and have more time to admire marine life. If you are a non-comprehensive Open Water Diver student, a Scuba Skills Update is ideal for practicing your diving skills before taking open water dives. With no set course length, you are able to take your time and focus on the skills you need help with.

Dry suit diving opens a world of possibilities, including dives to remote Arctic destinations and dive sites in cold water full of life. Dry suit diving is also a great way to stay warm on days with multiple dives, when you don't want to spend time putting on and taking off a cold wetsuit. The SSI Dry Suit Diver Specialty program is the best way to become a dry suit diver, teaching you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You will learn how to use specialized equipment such as dry suits and jackets, the benefits of dry suits and how to handle dry suit emergencies - which are unique to this type of diving. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty Brevet.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certificates in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. After an extensive briefing & mask adjustments we will enter the pool for the first introduction to the full face mask. We do this on Wednesday April 22nd in the swimming pool of Temse or if desired on Thursday April 23rd in Beveren.After this first meeting we will make 2 dives in the pit of ekeren on Saturday, April 25, appointment already at 8 am, end foreseen between 12 & 1 pm.

React Right is SSI's first aid course and provides the training needed to be a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible program, you can choose what topics you want to cover, including first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about emergency oxygen delivery while diving and the basics of automatic external defibrillators (AED). Using a combination of theory and practical training scenarios, this program will give you the tools and confidence you need for emergency response. By the time you are certified, you can act as a first aider: administer first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and AED support in a medical emergency. The ScubaXP program includes lunch, coffee, tea, water & soft drinks. Combining with the SSI Stress & Rescue is certainly possible, you can then enroll at a package price. Contact us by mail.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You'll learn how to recognize stress, prevent accidents and learn practical techniques to perform rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of sessions in the pool and in open water, you'll be well prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification. We start our class series with the first pool session on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Tentative program: - June 8 - Swim session (2h) - June 22 - Swim session (2h) The further program will be agreed upon with the participants and consists of 1 theory session in our classroom and 3 outdoor water sessions in Ekeren. Learning to freedive with SSI is easier than you think.
