Come and join us on Sakatia Island during Whale Shark season!!!! As in previous years, we have taken over the Sakatia Lodge, a friendly family resort nestled next to a primary forest. Snorkeling here means that everyone can see the turtles, which are just 300m from the bungalows. Diving here is a bit special. As there is no fringing reef, most dive sites start with a descent into the blue to around 25-30 meters. Beautiful coral reefs, small wrecks with lots of fish, turtles...and whale sharks Apart from diving, there's plenty to do here. Exciting excursions are on offer: on the water, depending on the season, there are trips to see humpback whales or whale sharks, and on land, excursions to admire endemic lemurs. The colorful local markets are also well worth a visit. You can buy pepper, vanilla or Ilang-Ilang, all grown on Nosy Be.
