Located on South East of the island. This dive site has shallow water that is good for training dives and practice buoyancy. The dive site is sheltered, so you can dive in a calm and stable environment with no waves.
Tanote Bay is a beautiful dive site on the east coast of Koh Tao. The reef starts right at the shore and reaches over the whole bay. The edge of the reef is at a depth between 8 and 15 meters. Besides the Katamaran Wreck at 18m, Tanote Bay has different artificial reef constructions as well as small caverns!
Great site for training dives as there is a big sandy area ranging from 1m to 16m deep. There are two different areas of huge artificial reef concrete cubes good for buoyancy or tech training. An abundant and dense hard coral reef area is on the east side and rocky sloping reef is on the west side.
Hin Ngam is located on the southeast coast of Koh Tao, on the way into Aow Leuk which is a snorkeling and diving hotspot. The Him Ngam is sheltered and has a fringing reef running right around the bay. The dive site has a max depth of 12 meters with a sandy bottom making it ideal for beginner and student divers.
Just on the mouth of the bay, this newly sunk wreck is 44.9M long, 7M wide, is a high speed attack ship. Belonging to the Gulf Patrol Fleet, Royal Thai Navy and built by Singapore Ship Building and Engineering Co., Ltd.
Japanese Gardens enjoys the protection of Koh Nanguan, which generally makes it a very calm and easy site. The depth ranges from just a couple meters to about 16 meters.
This is the only historical shipwreck in Bali, ranked #3 in the world for Wreck diving! The wreck is 25 meters form shore at a depth of 4 to 29 meters below the surface with most of it occuring in a shallow area. This dive site does not have strong currents, has clear water, and warm temperatures. Difficult entry!
Departure from the coast, famous for its ease, diversity and abundance of life. Different routes with pre-coraligen from 17m to 30m. Ideal for day and night dives.
This dive site is located in a bay on the east coast of Koh Tao. When the westerly winds are so strong that the dive sites on the west side of the island are not suitable for diving, the conditions here are calm.
The diving here is between 5m-24m. There is a small plateau and a little canyon. If you go down to the edge there can be quite a bit of current which normally flows north along the coast.

Want to learn freediving? During this Basic Freediving course you will learn how to stay underwater longer and more comfortably through breathing techniques, relaxation and correct diving posture. You get theory, practice dry breathing and equalizing techniques, and of course go in the water to apply everything. This is a 3-part series of lessons. It's time to enjoy mermaiding in the open water. It is one of the most liberating experiences there is. Together we will make sure you can mermaid finely and safely in the open water. We will make it 2 fun evenings on August 12 & 13. We start at 6 p.m. and finish at 8 p.m. Please note that this course is the continuation of the ssi mermaid.
