Skills protocol change, diving equipment also changes, hence the need to keep up to speed. Certification agencies recommend that divers who haven’t dived within the last 12 months undertake an update course.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The ultimate dive trip: Tahiti, Fakarava, Moorea. Travelling via Auckland, on our way to Papeete in Tahiti, this will be the first stop on our adventure to see some of the world’s best diving and most awesome landscapes. The SSI specialty in Deep Diving allows the advanced diver to have access to many more exciting dive sites that are located in deeper water. The Deep Diving SSI Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 and 30 meters to a maximum depth of 40 meters, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. During the course you will learn how to plan your deep dive safely and recognize any potential risks. You will also learn about your total Diving System and repetitive diving. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.

Be prepared for any underwater situation by taking the SSI Stress and Rescue Speciality. You will learn how to manage stress and assisting other divers with problems and emergencies. Leaving you with all the skills necessary to make yours, and your buddies, dive experiences safer and more enjoyable. Some of the ocean's most amazing creatures only come out at night, so your dive doesn't have to end when the sun goes down. You will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialized equipment, and how to communicate and dive with a buddy at night or in limited visibility. This program provides an in-depth and detailed study of physics, physiology, decompression theory, the aquatic environment and diving equipment. It is required training for most SSI Dive Professional programs, as well as some Extended Range programs. Water motion can have a tremendous effect on your diving experience This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to conduct dives from shore, in currents, and in different types of waves.
